Durran Caron would be interested, if allowed.

Benfry will try and attend but his ill-health will prevent him from offering much to the discussion

Discussion on the verdict--
To me the evidence is clear. Avery is guilty of all charges, and more, considering the execution of his orders on ships that didn't happen to be bearing Lady Barclay. I recommend that we issue a summons to appear to face the King's Justice, regardless of the weather. If he does so, we'll offer him an opportunity to take the black. The penalty of a refusal would then be death.

"Well, he's certainly guilty of being an arrogant little prick." Erik said, "But we'll be storming Dragonstone if we announce he's guilty. Just so everyone realizes that."

"If it were me, I'd first arrange a blockade, and only than announce the verdict. Have everything into place so that he may not flee."

Benfry rubbed his chin in thought "I have no love for that branch of the Baratheon family, first Andry and now Avery have shown nothing but venal self-interest which only damages the reputation of the King" he paused
"I am unsure, however, that his actions merit so large punishment as exile or death. He has been rude, ill-mannered and put lives needlessly at risk but he did not harm Lady Barclay. Whilst I am furious at the conduct of his envoy Ser Hubbard, Lord Coldiron is right. If we offer Avery no other choice but death, exile or the wall - it will mean blood. I have no doubts that we could seize Dragonstone from him but only at the cost of many lives. Is there no other censure we could apply? Perhaps take the heirs and sons of the lords of Dragonstone and give them as wards against future good conduct, as well as reparations to be paid to Lady Barclay for her mistreatment. If he refuses these terms, then we must do as you ask" he smiled thinly. "But I agree that we move our ships and men to Dragonstone. Should Avery try to balk us or run, we will have him"

"I doubt Prince Avery will easily give up Dragonstone, so your ships may be necessary. If he does come to his senses, Storms End is as good a place as any to see if he can be rehabilitated. If not then I would prefer death or exile rather than the Wall. You are correct, two princely Baratheons up there would cause trouble. However should he rise up and resist the King's will then death may be the only answer" he paused and looked over the council "So are we agreed then? Prince Avery Baratheon to be stripped of the title "Prince of Dragonstone" and removed to Storms End under the care and command of his cousin, Prince Rodrick Baratheon. If he resists this then he is to be taken by force for the King's Justice" he said grimly ooc: I'd like King Rickon's thoughts on this as well, Smith. If he disagrees or has some other punishment or reprimand in mind now's the time to mention it!

Rickon frowned, "I would like to speak to Avery personal before I rule on his punishment. Summon him to court, and if he does not come then he is in rebellion and all is decided. Otherwise I will speak to him and then make my decision."

Benfry bowed "Of course, your Highness. I shall draft a letter and have it sent by raven to Dragonstone at once"

"Then we will do what we do when any Lord revolts, Lord Redfort." Rickon replied.

"Shall I see to the fleet just in case milord? I suspect we'll have need of them. If he was too much a coward to come to his own trial, he won't come after he hears how poorly it went for him."

Roland nodded to the King's judgement and then answered Lord Coldiron. "Make it so, Lord Coldiron. I hope Avery has the honor and courage to appear before us, but we'll see if he is made of such stern stuff."

Rickon frowned and held up a letter from Avery.
"It is a revolt. This is now in the hands of Lord Coldiron and the Lord Hand." Rickon said calmly.

"Lord Hand, We'll need ships, in addition to those of the Crown, since several of the captains in the Crownlands are sworn to Dragonstone and may be unreliable. The Vale and the Stormlands are nearest, although sailing is not... their specialty."

Roland nodded. "I believe the Vale can raise twenty ships, though they are of questionable quality indeed. How soon could we have ships of the Ironborn with us? Are some still stationed in Dorne? Or Lord Redwyne's fleet? In any case, I will have the Vale's ships made available to you immediately."
