"Well, the Ironborn will sail, although we prefer when the leash is not quite so tight. The Arbor is closer, mayhaps they could be there sooner."

Benfry shook his head in dismay "I had hoped that Prince Avery would have swallowed his pride but..." he shook his head again "I think the Redwyne fleet best suited to this assault, with the Crown fleet supporting. I am sure if we approach Lord Barclay and Lord Kellington, they will be happy to provide the men. Ser Webber of the Kingsguard will lead the ground forces, in the King's name. I think Lord Redwyne can lead the navy, should it come to naval combat beforehand"

Roland raised a hand. "Lord Commander Benfry, I ask the honor to lead the King's forces. I feel it is my duty to execute the King's justice as his Hand."

Benfry studied Roland for a moment before nodding "Very well, Lord Royce. I had hoped not to risk someone so important to the realm, but if you feel you must be seen to uphold the King's will, then so be it"

Roland inclined his head, "Thank you. I understand the risks, but this kind of behavior must be discouraged. The realm needs peace. The Vale will contribute its ships and 5000 men to the effort."

A message from Blackhaven arrives:
To the Lords and Lady of the Small Council, as well as his grace the King,
Lord Rickard Evergreen recently sent me a letter informing me that Prince Avery, my uncle, hired a hit on me. Rickard claimed he had no desire to kill me, but I have learned things over the past few years of Lordship and sent look-a-likes instead. They were to meet at the Redstone Inn and I have heard nothing back from them recently, which makes me fear for the worst. I request that someone calls now, not only for Prince Avery's arrest, but for Lord Evergreen's as well.
Thank you all, and I'm happy to leave this case in your qualified hands,
Breck Dondarrion, Lord of Blackhaven and Lord Regent of the Stormlands

"Lord Regent Dondarrion has shown wisdom in not choosing to visit this assassin himself. Lord Kellington sent me a similar message to this letter. I believe he fully intends on seeking vengeance against this pathetic murderer of a lord, Rickard Evergreen."

A man shrouded in a dark traveling cloak lets down his hood as he reveals to the guards that he is Breck Dondarrion, Lord Regent of the Stormlands. He requests an audience with the council concerning an assassination attempt against him.

"Thank you, Lady Royce", Breck said with his usual smile which was no less genuine. He nodded courtly to Elena and the rest of the Small Council and cleared his throat before beginning, "A fortnight ago I received a raven from Lord Evergreen informing me that he had received a contract to kill me but did not wish to actually perform it. He requested a meeting at the Redstone Inn, and we can all agree it is no coincidence the events that took place at that said inn. Fearing the worst, I sent doubles of myself and Lord Kellington, with whom he also requested an audience. I think little analysis is needed to figure who his employer may have been. Tragically the doubles and their entourage were killed brutally at the Redstone Inn, which was no doubt work of Lord Evergreen-- a self professed assassin." Breck stopped, "Before I get too ahead of myself, here is the letter I received from Lord Evergreen", Breck said withdrawing the rolled parchment and handing it to Aranya. "Please, Lady Royce, feel free to examine this letter."
Breck hands Aranya the note, which reads as follows:
My Lord of Blackhaven,
I have recently recieved a contract on your life. However, not murdering a man who might oneday be king seemed more profitable, so I wish to meet with you and your Lord Kellington (A gentleman I am anxious to meet, always a pleasure to meet a fellow lover of ambition and intrigue, if the rumours are correct) and discuss the matter more directly. As you are a powerful lord and I am a confessed assassin, I have decided that we should rendezvous in a public place, preferably a public inn. The prestigious Redstone Inn should suit our purposes. They are known for their strict policy of allowing no armaments past the door. In this environment, you will not fear of my employing my craft and I shall not worry about losing my head in retaliation.
Signed,
Lord Rickard Evergreen

Benfry peered over Lady Royce's shoulder, mouth moving soundlessly as he read. He frowned at word 'King' and later again at the phrase 'self-confessed assassin' before grunting as he reached the end. "Seems a simple enough matter. Declare Lord Evergreen an outlaw and give him 3 days to turn himself in for judgement or his lands & holdings shall be confiscated and a death mark placed on him"

"Aranya, we should use those threats as leverage. Tell him that his cooperation will give him a chance to bend the knee, keep his life, and keep his lands in his family."

Breck nodded while the members of the Small Council discussed, "I thank the council for its understanding. I have lost too many of my kin and of my friends...it would be the ultimate blow to find that my own uncle plotted -my- demise."

////// As Report that Avery's men are fleeing King Landing, Alexander asks the Master of ships if we have any that can give chase.
"If we have any ships to send after that dogs force send them after him. Hail them and if they don't stop at the King's sigil. Kill and sink them all. If they do stop have them turn around and rejoin our army at the capital. We can not have a fucking opportunist causing trouble now."

Lord Caron fills the Small Council in on a report from Storm's End that the Stormlands fleet has been sunk in a battle with Dragonstone's fleet. "Might I suggest that we hire pirates or sellswords to return the favor?", Caron asked as he finished explaining the situation.
