"Yes." The man said shortly, "I have worked spells into the steel of Kings and Emperors, and always I work my way."

"You know this isn't steel," she said, pushing one of the rocks closer to him, "and you're not making it for a King." Myrrah slid her hand down the weirwood staff, "You're making it for a man who sees with the Gods' sight."
"Work your way."

"Come back in a month, and we shall see what we have."

She nods, and leaves.

As the waking men of Pentos still burned the midnight oil, Myrrah Reed arrived, entirely too chipper for the hour.
"Hello?" she called, "Hello! How's the work?"

The Pentoshi Smith came out, in his leather apron, and little else, sweat pouring off him in buckets.
"She's more stubborn than I gave her credit for. It will take yet more time." he replied.

The waifish woman rolled her eyes: how convinient.
"You quoted me at a month. How much longer will this take?"

"You can't rush such things. It takes as long as it takes."

Myrrah stalks from the smithy in a much less chipper mood.
//////////
Two weeks later, the determined crannogwoman makes another appearance.
"The trident?" she suggested.

"Is finished. Let us discuss payment." the man said simply.

She nodded. "I imagine gold is worth as much here as in Westeros?" she asked, hand on her knapsack.

"It is. Although I doubt you have my price in that tiny knapsack of yours. Shall you see it? Gods' Eyes? That's what I'm calling her, although you may call her what you please." He turned and went into his shop for a moment, before returning, holding the trident. It's three prongs were as white as milkglass, and they caught and refracted the dim light of the shop. The iron shods around the weirwood were as deep black as the waters of the Neck. Around the head, and on each grip, were elaborate scenes of animals, trees, and thick foliage.
"See her? Gorgeous. A king's ransom, she is."

Her lips spread wide, crooked teeth as white as the three prongs before her. "She is," Myrrah agreed, stifling a giggle as she caught her reflection in the metal. "Hmm... Gods' Eyes..." she said, testing the name on her tongue. It was a sweet name. "Gods' Eyes, yes. One, two, three; like the crow!"
Pleased with the blade, but not with the price, the crannogwoman jingled the handful of coins in her bag. "What are the taxes you pay on the metal you import here?" she asked.

"What difference does that make?"

"Oh, I just imagined the materials you buy might be costly... What if the North were to relax our export taxes on our metals to Pentos? Perhaps we could sell direct to you, at a further discount?"
