The only future to be seen in the flames is the light of the sun just behind them, and the possibility of freedom.

Evander stares the flame and reaches his hand forward towards the flame.

When Evander reaches into the flame, he is surprised to see that he is not burned. It is hot, but not hot enough to burn skin. He looks down, and realizes that the floor is a sturdy glass, under which a fire rages. Squinting, he can see mirrors reflecting the image in such a way, that it appears to be in front of him, rather than beneath him.

Evander stares in awe of this feat, but waits little time in passing the "wall of fire", as the glass below him is extremely hot to touch.

When Evander finally makes it to the other end of the glass walkway, he finds Moax standing in front of him, along side a monk, who was holding red robes with a yellow belt.
"Welcome to our order Evander Firestorm. You will do as we do, study and reflect upon R'hllor's truth, and together we shall praise his coming and his truth."

Evander smiled like a madman at first that he was finally free, but genuine joy began to flow through him. He stood and accepted the red robes and belt, "This is the dawn of my finest era", he said, despite the fact that he looked far from fine.

"Finest era?" Moax said, incredulous. "This only symbolizes that you are venial, stupid, slothful, sinful, and cowardly, as are all men. But in time, R'hllor will burn away your imperfections. There is more wood to be chopped."

"Some men live and die during an entire era. There will be room to grow." He nods at Moax, as if he was giving his own teacher advice. He smiled and then said, "There is always would to chop. Show me the axe, and I will attend to it."
OOC: Requesting some sort of R'hllor skill upgrade?

ooc: Uh... no?
"It is where you left it yesterday Evander. When you are done, Fendio will show you to your sleeping cell."

OOC: "Thank you Moax", Evander said before finding his way out and back behind the temple again. He immediately resumed chopping wood.

Evander returned to chopping wood outside, for hours a day, every day during the week. Every day he would finish and retire to his cell where he'd think deeply about theological matters.

One night as Evander sat watching flames at the Temple, he tried to summon a vision again. For a while he sat watching the flames, and nothing happened. But in time he began to see images again: a bolt of lightning falling through the sky towards a stag. The lightning, however, was stopped by a crowd of blackbirds who swarmed the air.
Evander recoiled when he saw this. This image was more vivid than the last one he saw, and he mulled over the contents of it, and the possible interpretations for the next few hours. When he thought he had imagined every possible scenario he called for Moax.

Moax came, as he usually did on his own time, and without much concern. He entered Evander's little monastic cell, and sat in the one chair, leaving the bastard to sit on the hard wooden bed.
"I understand you believe you have seen a vision. What did you see?"

"Lightning almost struck a stag, but blackbirds stopped the bolt. I couldn't tell if they were killed in doing so, or even what their purpose was. Again, I recognize their possible connections in Westerosi history but do they have any symbolic reference to R'hllor?"
