Seth watched this scene play out. While he was not against Kennos, despite his flaws, he was sworn to the crown and the Royal Family, however despicable he believed the Prince to be. His mare bayed and he patted her soothingly on the neck.

"Prince Steffon has a sword arm, doesn't he? Only a coward would hide behind another man in single combat," Kennos says. "But I'll fight any of you if our young Prince decides he's not up to the challenge."

Eddard Tully laughs in Keath's face, "It is not the Prince's choice. We fight for him, that is our most treasured duty. So who wishes to kill this man." Eddards eyes flash immediately to Ser Erik Tyrell.

Steffon sighs on his way to prepare to depart after speaking with his brother, passing Kennos and halted by the man, "Seriously, you are too blinded by your arrogance to see facts. Do you not think if I had wanted you dead, i'd have more than a few opportunities on our way here? Not to mention I never took a single step out of the Keep, or it's grounds since I arrived there. Only by your absurd behavior and lust to kill me openly, i must conclude that your only intent is rebellion, and as such, I lay the charge of treason upon you, Ser kennos Keith. We shall settle this matter when I return."

"A man like you doesn't need to step outside a castle to have someone killed! The assassin you sent admits it was your man who sent him," Kennos growls, "Willem Carron. He's still alive, you know. He can tell you himself!"

"As I've said, Kennos, if I had wanted you dead, I've have sank the dagger into your heart myself while you slept. Willem has told me everything, and I am not stupid enough to rely on another to do a job such as he failed to do, with poison none the less. So, since Willem is 'my man' you automatically assume it was I who sent him. I shall settle this matter now, as I tire of it."
Willem watched from a few yards off, his hands wet with sweat as he wrung them upon each other. Would Steffon finally pipe up and display the cowardice the cousin of the greatest general bore?
"Willem came to me the night you barged in on me and my guests. A thing that upset me yet I will not hold against you considering the situation. He came to me, frantic and worried, telling how a man he hired failed at the task of killing you. I had liked Willem but now, seeing what a coward he truly is tire of this ploy in protecting him and his family name. He wished to kill you, in defence of my honor, something I care very little for. Honor is for arrogant men, fighting for fame and to inflate their egos." Steffon calls Willem with a loud bellow, and he came, nervous and meek. "Tell Kennos what a coward you are."
Willem looks terrified, eyes falling from Steffon to Kennos. "My Pri...Prince. Please..." Willem had always thought he'd be safe with Steffon. He feared death and dying. Yet, not seeing any weakness in the piercing blue eyes of The Prince, yields and speaks through sobs, "I-I wished to have you killed Ser...I was D-D-Defending the Prince's honor...I swear to you. It was I, not him. He is a wonderful man...To bear the blame for so long...I am a coward...I shall give you what you desire...Trial by Combat, my lord."
Steffon turns from the blubbering man to eye Kennos, "Should he not run from you in the middle of the fight and you slay him, tell his kin what a coward he was. As for the assassin you caught, kill him as well, for he has wronged you as much as Willem. He agreed to the task and was the one who tried to poison you."

"There are you happy Kennos you can have your Kill but it is not a Prince but a small boy but a brute as yourself you won't care you'll cut him down with a smile." Erik says to Kennos with a triumph smile on his face.

"A clever ploy," Kennos says, looking at Steffon, "Getting your own man to take the fall for you. Really is loyal, ain't he? It can't very well be you if he admits to it, eh?"
Kennos looks at Willem in disgust. "This man doesn't need a trial. He needs a fucking executioner."
Kennos Keath moves in a flash, his drawn sword slashing in a downward arc towards Willem's head.

Kennos crouches and wipes his sword clean on the dead man's cloak. Then he grins at Steffon.
"I thought you were accusing me of treason, princeling?" Kennos laughs, "Or did you mispeak?"

Steffon merely eyes Kennos and lays an eerie expression of a smile upon his own face, and walks to prepare for his journey North to aid the expedition to rescue Lord Starks family.

Kennos grins. "Take care, Princeling. I'd hate it if some accident befell you."
A few hours later, Kennos Keath and his small party head out to travel back to King's Landing.
