Early in the morning, Lord Rhod Arryn assembles his horse, combines it with that of Lord Grafton, and rides west for Raventree Hall, hunting for Lord Stevron Bracken. All told he has a substantial force of 4,000 horse, and Lord Grafton brings 8,000 foot behind. The remaining forces work on rehabilitating Harrenhal.
At Lord Rhodri's request, Ser Selwyn Royce does not join him, but rather will accompany the bodies of Breyn and Robert to the Vale with five hundred men.

"Yes," she said. "Thank you for not going to battle without me."

But first, Aranya helped Selwyn dig a grave for Robett. "He was a Hunter, and my kin," Aranya said, a little sadly. It easy to tell that she was thinking of her mother Alyssa, who died from grief. The grave was made in the godswood.

"Let's go, then," She hauled herself up onto her courser, waited for Selwyn to mount, and they rode with with their five hundred for the Vale.

"Greetings, nuncle," Aranya said to Lord Robar as she dismounted. It had been a long ride, and with Brynden cradled in her arms, she had soon grown weary.

Yohn looks over at Petra. "Will you be the Stranger or the Mother? You have a choice."

She weighed her options carefully. "I think I could be either," she said finally. "No one knows what I will do, so I could be the Stranger," she continued, "But my mother trained me well. I can take care of people." She paused. "I always pray to the warrior but then add a prayer to the old gods. Royces remember."

"Come on, children," Aranya hustled Saella, Petra and Yohn inside, still holding Brynden with one arm. She felt like a mother hen surrounded by chicks, which did not feel comfortable or natural at all. She wanted to slip back into a trance and meditate on her visions, or spar with Uncle Robar. But first the young ones had to be fed and put in bed.

Lord Robar seated his Royce and Arryn guests on the high table of Harrenhal, and they were served a long and hot meal that warded against the horrible cold. Brynden was soon content enough to fall asleep. Aranya was lost in thought again.

As her consciousness drifted outward, it filled her without warning, so terrible and real that for a moment Aranya sat frozen, clutching her dagger hilt hard enough to break it.
In her mind, a burning Wall came crashing down. The heat blazed across her skin, the trickles of melted ice went down her back. Aranya was suddenly in a cold sweat.
She glanced around the table nervously, and wiped herself with her sleeve. Gripping the stem of her goblet, Aranya swallowed her fear and this time went still, going completely into the meditation. She didn't care if people stared anymore.
The burning Wall burst into her mind again. Then her ears began to split, for a baby was screaming and crying. Brynden, my baby, is that you? Her heart almost stopped. The baby's cries went on, and the whole world seemed to shudder. Aranya did not realize that she was crying. Before she fainted, she saw a crow and raven, locked in a deadly duel.

Aranya looked very weird, fainting on the floor and the baby was screaming. Other people went to look at Aranya so Petra went to look after the baby. She held him and he was a little quieter, then fed him a little bit of the porridge she was having for dinner. Most babies liked porridge and he didn't spit it up, he wasn't a tiny tiny baby so it was probably okay for him and he was a little quieter still.
She then checked his napkin and found it was wet, so found a clean one. By the time she had finished he was whimpering but not screaming any more. Petra thought he was probably fussy because his mother was weird and having fits.
Carrying Breyden, she went over to Yohn.
"The baby thinks I'm Mother," she said.

OOC: Lilith that was SO CUTE. OMG.
Aranya's mind was still locked in the power of her visions, and she kept shaking and crying on the stone flagged floor. "Brynden stop screaming, stop crying, my baby, mother's here..." but in her head, the screams went on and on. It wasn't just a cry of the end of a baby; it felt like the cry of a world as it ended.
