Aethan and his band finally came within sight of the castle at Last Hearth. Their food supplies were running low, but Twig and the other archers had found some scarce game, and Mellara had been surprisingly insightful in finding berries, and of course Jae had made what food was there as unpalatable as he could. Also, a couple more displaced smallfolk and ambushed Flayed Men contiinued to strengthen Aethan's numbers. Twenty-five men behind him made for a sizable unit.
On the perimeter, he saw a patrol in Umber tabards, and looked back. "Titus, Gurn, to my sides. Remember, no killing save at my word. Archers to your bullhorns." That formation was Aethan's usual tactic, where archers would be best able to shoot at the first wave of Boltons and then hightail back when the forces clashed. Of course, Septon Idiot needed to be at the tip of a bullhorn more for his inaccuracy than his accuracy. "No weapons drawn yet."
Aethan then began to lead the impromptu force towards the Umber patrol, quite openly. "Hello there!"

Jae had stayed in the trees, he loosened his rope from his shoulders, and tied the end to one of his darts. He would be deadly in this sort of situation. Old and lethal.

Gurn moved up to stand beside Aethan, wearing his scowl that could be more effective than weapons against certain enemies.

Septon Ryam eyes the Umber men suspiciously, as only someone who knows he worships better gods really can. As per usual, he glances to the sky, talking softly, apparently checking to see who his targets should be.

Ten large Umber men patrol into sight. They look up just as the comet strikes the earth. Soon the ground rolls and all the men fall.
Aethon's band is like wise afflicted all falling to the ground.

Aethan growled and got up quickly, then looked at his men. He spared a glance for Gurn, both to make sure the giant hadn't broken anything fatally, or crushed any of the other men. Satisfied on that account, he turned to the Umbermen.
"Bloody hell," he began. "The stars hit Westeros."

Septon Ryam remains on the ground after the other get up, simply staring at the sky, looking for an answer. When he apparently gets one, he bows fervently and at great length, before shouting to the group, "It is a sign of our victory, from the gods! As the ground as shaken here on this day and laid all men low, so we shall lay low the tyrants that now hold the North! The Gods have spoken!"

Jae had landed awkwardly from around twenty feet. He lay unmoving on the ground.

Titus stands and swears a lot. "Come here you ugly Bastards I want to ram this axe in that favorite place your daddy liked of yours."

Mellara had frozen in shock at the sight of the falling star, and had huddled to the ground during the earthquake.

Gurn lets out a mighty roar of angered confusion as the ground shook. Gurn didn't like it when things he didn't understand happened. He picks up one of Aethan's men in a blind rage and throws him hard down on the ground.

Twig ducked away from Gurn so that some other unfortunate was pummelled. He didn't know what was going on but had his bow ready for trouble but kept and eye on the Umber men as much as he did his own comrades.

Aethan looked at Titus. "Shut up," he ordered. "We're here to gather allies, not to do battle, Titus. The Boltons are our foemen, not the Umbers."
