"Yes, I'm very lucky," Izzy agreed. "Oldtown is the most wonderful place in the world, though not quite as lively as Kings Landing, because we don't have the court in the same way. But Oldtown is very beautiful, with the Starry Sept and the Citadel, and of course the Hightower itself. I would be pleased to invite you to visit, when I go home again. My family will not mind at all. But tell me, where you you raised, Jennalynn?" Jennalynn's eyes grew a little wider at the prospect at maybe traveling to Oldtown, but she quickly realized that it might just be a foolish dream since she would need the permission from his grace as well as from her uncle, and she was certain that he wished her to remain at court. "I was born at the Eyrie, Lady Isabel, and raised there til the age of seven, before my parents sent me here to foster with the royal prince and princess. I hope I will not offend you, but does Oldtown have the same kind of smell that King's Landing does.I am used to this now, but it would be nice to smell some clean air for once." "Someone once told me that all cities smell," Izzy said with a laugh. "But Oldtown does not smell half so bad as Kings Landing, I promise. But I know what you mean, the air is so different in the countryside. I know you would love Oldtown. Most everyone does. And you know, my late husband was a Tyrell and my son lives there still. I could take you to Highgarden, mayhaps. It's the only place I have ever been that is prettier than Oldtown. I'm sure you would enjoy sailing down the Mander in a barge."

"Someone who can close her mouth once in a while?" Hannah replied, looking away from the chewing girl. She so hated it when people couldn't eat quietly; it turned her stomach and made her just so very mad. Elspeth seemed completely unaware to the insult she had just been given and continued to bad-mouth the far reachwoman. The front of her satin dress was full of crumbs of lemoncake, and when she noticed that she began wetting one of her fingers to pick them up and putting them in her mouth. "If my Webber were here, I'd make him tell her to go away and let my friend be, she should respect us who have been here longer than her." she said and glared at the Hightower girl. "So how is your courting going, Lady Hannah, have your father been able to find you someone to marry yet? My Webber has said that he'll talk to his father soon and then I will go with him to Coldmoat and we'll live happily ever after."

Jennalynn smiled gracefully, thankful that she had not offended the lady with her question. "Is your son being fostered at Highgarden, or why isn't he with you? I would love to go see Highgarden one day. The late Queen used to tell us children about it, and it always seemed like quite the magical place with it's gardens. I love flowers, and especially roses, so it would be a wonder to see them there, which reminds me, I really love your belt. Who's the maker?"

She is so talented. If you have a favourite seamstress in the city perhaps we can get her to make you one just like it," Izzy suggested. She smiled warmly at the younger girl. "Highgarden is truly wonderful and no horrid city smell at all. It smells of flowers, mostly. My son is there because his father was a Tyrell, and they said I should leave him at the home he was used to when I had to go home." Her cheery expression fell slightly. "Mother was sick so I had to help my sister take care of her and somebody had to look after the Hightower and its people, because my two eldest brothers were away in the Stepstones. They are great warriors, you know. Mother has been acting as Gwayne's regent a lot since Father died, because of the war, so I had to help out while she was sick."

Jennalynn looked eagerly at Isabel and smiled. "Really? You wouldn't mind that I would have a similar belt such as yours? I remember when there was this girl from the Riverlands that made the exact copy of my favorite dress, and she insisted to wear it while we were at court, so I had to buy a new dress." she said with a glum look upon her face as she remembered the event. "But he is your son too, especially now that his father has passed, shouldn't he have been raised with you in Oldtown instead? I would never let anyone take away my children from me, if the Mother ever grants me some." she said and nodded to her own words. "I am sorry to hear about your mother, I hope she is feeling much better, since you are here now. And I pray that your brave brothers will return home uninjured, as I pray that all those fighting for our kingdom does."

"If lemons were poison," She muttered to herself. "My courting has been going fine until someone decided that she would blabber at me for hours on end, stopping several young knights from coming over after I so prettily give them the eyes," She batted her lashes as Ser Kenton, who began to come over, spotted Elspeth and wheeled about. Hannah sighed. "Just so."

"I pray to the Warrior that it is so, but he has not heard me yet," Izzy sighed, toying with the pretty belt. "My mother is fine, thank you so much for asking. I am not sure about my son. I know Mother would like to have him at Oldtown. But I would not want him to be in Kings Landing, not for a few years yet. I am sure Lord Tyrell prefers him to remain at Highgarden, anyway." She leaned in close. "I would be thrilled for you to have a belt like mine. I wouldn't be angry at all. Especially if you chose different colours to make it look a bit different. I never met your girl from the Riverlands, at least not as far as I know, but she sounds rather horrid. People like that aren't worth being friends with." She glanced over at Elspeth and the person she was talking to now, then returned her attention to Jennalynn. "I'm sad your friend didn't even want to make my acquaintance. Does she not like girls from the south?"

Elspeth looked sympathetically at Hannah, and placed her greasy hand upon Hannah's lap which smeared her dress.
"How rude of her, it's just like that Hightower girl over there, some people should know when they are intruding on someone and let them be. Tell me, who is it you fancy, I am sure I can go talk to them for you. My Webber says that I have quite the way with the men and that I can convince them to do anything, so if you tell me who it is, I'll let him know. I am that kind, especially now that I have my Webber. I wish that you can have what I and Webber have with each other."

"You should be lucky that she doesn't take an interest in you, Lady Isabel. That woman is insufferable and doesn't think about anyone else but herself and what is going on in her life. And she never stops talking, and I mean never." she said, emphasizing the word never.

"Oh dear! That is quite horrid, truly. I am sorry for laughing, but, really, I have not met anyone like that before. Why are you friends with her, if she vexes you so? You had much better be friends with me." She winked mischievously at Jennalynn.

Jennalynn knew exactly how easily offended Elspeth was, and she didn't want her to ruin the nice talk she was having with Lady Isabel. "Who says I am friend's with her, Lady Isabel. It's not like you choose to be her friend, she chooses you and doesn't really respect that you do not wish her company at that particular moment, and she has no qualms sharing information about herself." she said with a sigh. "I would much rather be your friend too, Lady Isabel. I haven't known you for long, but I feel that we have so much more in common that most of the other courtiers that is here." she said with light smile upon her face.

I would love to have a good friend here at Court and I'd be honoured to shield you from your former companion's attentions. I shall protect you, until you have a husband to do so," Izzy said comfortingly. "So let us help one another. We can go shopping, and you can help me make friends with the queen, and do each other's hair. And I shall take you to Highgarden and Oldtown when I can." She tossed her hair over her shoulders. "Oh, I have just realised! I used to live at the Eyrie myself. My mother arranged for Lord Royce to foster me for a few years. But you must have been just a little girl then or mayhaps you were not born," she said. "Because I am sure I don't remember you."

"Yes, that sounds like a wonderful plan, I will tell the guards assigned to me that I wish to go down to the Streets of Sisters. I know a good seamstress there that should be able to craft a similar belt and maybe I should make a new gown to go with it too. Did you bring many clothes with you, or are you in need of gowns as well?" she said and forgot all about Elspeth and Hannah. "Oh really, I only lived there until my sixth name-day, but me and my mother visited Raventree Hall for a year or so. After the coronation of His Grace, I was sent here to King's Landing. I think I would have remembered you too, Lady Isabel, if I lived there at the same time as you."

"I have some nice gowns, but I am not long out of mourning so I've had to wear dark clothes a lot. Some nice new silks and satins would be just the thing to cheer up a poor widow, wouldn't you say?"

Jennalynn's face lit up with glee as she nodded, this woman was exactly the kind of friend she hoped to have while she remained at court.
"That is so true, Lady Isabel. Those few times I've felt down in my life, buying gowns have always cheered me up." she said and placed her hands upon Isabel's in a gesture of friendship. "I am sure that you wish to get settled in before we arrange for our shopping, so what do you say about going tomorrow afternoon, that'll give you ample time to get settled in and I can arrange our escort."
