A small hall where courtiers can mingle with each other, when there is no feast or meetings with the court.

Jennalynn sat upon a cushion-covered bench, a embroidery of the Maiden in her hands, concentrating her best not to listen to the constant chattering of her companion, Lady Elspeth Chyttering, whom kept going on about the son of some lord from the Mander that had begun courting her.

After a while, a young woman entered the hall. Isabel Hightower wore an emerald green dress, long sleeves and a flowing skirt. Her belt was white silk embroidered with silver flowers, the jewels at her throat were emerald and diamonds set in silver. She glided elegantly across the hall towards the bench where Jennalyn sat.
"Excuse me, might I join you?"

Jennalynn and her companion, Elspeth, looked up from their seats at the woman that had spoken to them.
"Please do" Jennalynn answered quickly, before her companion had a chance to respond. "I am Jennalynn, whom might you be?" she said in the softest of voices.

"Isabel Hightower." She said this as if it were obvious then seated herself next to Jennalynn. "I am pleased to meet you. How do you like life at court?"

As Isabel took a seat between Jennalynn and Elspeth the latter glared annoyed at her, before she rose from her seat and headed over toward a table that had a few pastries and decanters of Elderflower cordial, and headed to sit down by another courtier and started talking to the girl. Jennalynn hid her grin behind a handkerchief and a light cough, before she answered Isabel.
"I enjoy it immensely, Lady Isabel. I get to meet important men and women from all over the realm, what is there not to like?" she answered and placed the embroidery next to her and gave Isabel a smile.

"That is what I think too," Izzy confided. "Though I have not been to court for a few years, and then not for very long. My husband did not like the court very much. He preferred to be at home, or on the battlefield."
She looked over Jennalynn's embroidery with a critical eye.
"You sew very well. Better than me, though I do tolerably well. But yes, I believe that court is where I am destined to be. Although...it is so sad about the poor king, isn't it? It must have happened while I was on my way here."

Jennalynn bowed her head and gave Isabel a smile.
"You are most kind, Lady Isabel. I've spent a considerable time with this to make it look perfect, as I plan to give it to the royal septa as a gift. She has been a good teacher that has taught me a lot about the responsibilities as a young woman and future wife." she said before looking sad.
"It's horrible, I've grown up with the traitor, and I never thought that he was capable of such a heinous act. So many familiar faces are now gone from this world, because of him, and I pray that those that are riding after him catches him so that he can hang for his actions."

"I'd hope so," Isabel agreed. "I can't claim to know very much about the Targaryens, but I was appalled when I heard the news. The poor king deserved so much better than that from his own son. And what about his daughter? Do you know her well?"

Jennalynn nodded as Isabel spoke, agreeing fully that the king had been greatly betrayed by his own son. She couldn't phantom what had been going on inside the head of the former crown prince at that moment, and she didn't really want to think about all those deaths anyway.
"I was one of her ladies-in-waiting when she was younger and we had a few lessons together, but who knows how this act will change her grace. And now that she is the future Queen of Westeros, she'll have to become much stronger than she might have been before." she said with a tired voice. "So how is the Far Reach, visiting Oldtown has always been a dream of mine, you are so lucky that you was born there."

Hannah Estermont and Lydia Waynwood are among the ladies present at court, while the men are represented by the rich merchant Baria Setral and various knights, among them Ser Rufus Caron, Ser Kenton Crakehall and Ser Damien Greenstone.

"Yes, I'm very lucky," Izzy agreed. "Oldtown is the most wonderful place in the world, though not quite as lively as Kings Landing, because we don't have the court in the same way. But Oldtown is very beautiful, with the Starry Sept and the Citadel, and of course the Hightower itself. I would be pleased to invite you to visit, when I go home again. My family will not mind at all. But tell me, where you you raised, Jennalynn?"

Elspeth Chyttering sat beside Hannah Estermont, chewing loudly upon a piece of lemoncake, while she went on and on about how rude she thought Isabel Hightower was. "I was telling all about.." she said as she put a new piece in her mouth "my Webber to Lady Jennalynn when that pompous lady just came and sat down between us, disregarding me all together. Who do she think she is?"

"Someone who can close her mouth once in a while?" Hannah replied, looking away from the chewing girl. She so hated it when people couldn't eat quietly; it turned her stomach and made her just so very mad.

Jennalynn's eyes grew a little wider at the prospect at maybe traveling to Oldtown, but she quickly realized that it might just be a foolish dream since she would need the permission from his grace as well as from her uncle, and she was certain that he wished her to remain at court. "I was born at the Eyrie, Lady Isabel, and raised there til the age of seven, before my parents sent me here to foster with the royal prince and princess. I hope I will not offend you, but does Oldtown have the same kind of smell that King's Landing does.I am used to this now, but it would be nice to smell some clean air for once."
