"The King has thanked my men many times for the service they provide the whole land." Ser Benfry did not turn to look at the Lannister as he spoke, "For such a large head you have very little sense." Ser Benfry clapped for a winning joust. Gerion snorted, as if the opinion of a lowborn bastard even mattered, he thought. "Maybe I'm just not as proud of my brother giving up his inheritance to stand watch over a bunch of trees as you seem to be. Besides, that Stark boy is going to win this..." he says, just as he is unhorsed. His face colours red from embarrassment and he scowls at his wife's continued impudence. "I'll not be lectured by you on this anymore, woman. Tynian needs a strong hand to keep him in line. I will not suffer weakness in my family" he replied.
"But, father. I'll be just as strong as 'Rany one day!" Tynian unwisely interrupted and his father's face darkened further and he cuffed the back of Tynian's head roughly. "Shut up, fool boy. I'll not have you sit there and show me up in front of all these people". Tynian's eyes watered and his lip quivered as he held back the tears but he nodded and turned his head away, hiding himself.

Ser Benfry was on his feet and staring at Gerion in a flash. His hard eyes stared straight at Lord Lannister, "You touch that boy again. I just might have to do something about that." Gerion could feel just how cold the wall was in that stare.
The other black brothers sitting by Benfry stood, and spread out. Six of them screened this area from the rest of the stands.

Gerion could feel just how cold the wall was in that stare. The other black brothers sitting by Benfry stood, and spread out. Six of them screened this area from the rest of the stands. Gerion sneered at Benfry, in no way intimidated. "I'll discipline my child, the way I see fit Hill" he clicked his fingers and Audric and the Lannister guardsmen came up to back up their lord

First Steward Hill moved faster then guards jumping two stands. Only Audric was able to get between him and Lord Gerion. Clegane's hand was on his blade, when Benfry's boot smashed between his legs. Clegane doubled over, and Hills drew Clegane's blade.
Benfry stared Gerion straight in the eye. He held Audric's sword in hand. He leaned forward and whispered to Gerion, "My father was a drunk loser who made himself feel strong by beating me up and down his hall every day too. I hated him. So much. I have dreamed every night since his death of killing him." He licked his lips and continued. "I am willing to die to kill you. Cause your mean will hack me to bits once I do. I know this. It is a price I am willing to pay. Are you willing to pay the same price?"

Gerion licked his lips nervously, eyeing the crazed figure of Benfry Hill and paying close attention to the blade hovering in front of him. "You're....you're mad!" he said softly, trying to hide the fear in his voice and looking round frantically for someone to intervene.

"Indeed I am Lord Gerion. Indeed I am." Laughs Ser Benfry. "Why doesn't your son come sit with us for a little while. We have quite a few second sons among our number."

Gerion gulped and nodded shakily, just wanting this madman away from him. He picks up Tynian by the scruff of his tunic and shoves the boy roughly towards Benfry Hill.

Lord Bayard sat in the stands, listening to a second hand account of the lists. His Valemen were giving a poor showing, but Royce did not seem unduly concerned. The more concerning event was developing somewhere in the stands below. He stands up and at his command the weaponless lord is guided toward the brewing fight.
"That's quite enough, Ser Benfry," Royce says calmly. "Unless you have forgotten your oaths to be outside the squabbles of the realm?"

Hill takes the boy's hand and nods to Royce, "I forget nothing. This was a private business between Lord Gerion and myself." He drops Audric's sword onto his back, and leads Tynion to sit with the other Black Brothers.
