Gerion glanced across to whom had presumed to speak to him unannounced and sneered when he realised it was the bastard byblow of some Westerlander whore, now in charge of the Night's Watch. "He might be a crow now, but he was a Lannister before that so you're right of course. That is if he's not gone soft freezing his arse off at your shithole excuse for a castle"

"I'm sure you'll never find out, Hill. The only gold you're likely to see is that belonging to someone else. "Hold no lands, and no wife" blah blah, isn't that how it goes? Sounds a great deal to me" he sneered.
Gerion frowned at his wife. She knew better than to interrupt him when talking, unless it was important. "Who?" he thought back to the night before, foggy though it was through the wine haze. "You mean that weedy, little impudent child who kept bothering me?" he shook his head in disgust. "What of him?"

"Yes. I have never wanted a wife, so the sacrifice was no large thing. As for Lands well I safeguard all the lands behind my wall so I believe they are slightly more expansive then yours." Hill winked at Gerion, "In a very real way you are my liege lord." He smiled and then turned his eyes back to the jousts.

Gerion barked a laugh at the man's audacity. "You should try that line on the Crown Prince. I'm sure he'd be delighted to kneel at your feet" his lip curled up into a sneer.
He scowled at his wife who continued to prattle on, in her usual docile way. "He's an idiot, just like his father. He'll be lucky to reach his nameday if he carries on in the same way. At least he has plenty of bastard brothers to take his place if that happens. And are you seriously suggesting that Tynian will learn how to be a fighter at the court of a cripple? he said increduously

"The King has thanked my men many times for the service they provide the whole land." Ser Benfry did not turn to look at the Lannister as he spoke, "For such a large head you have very little sense." Ser Benfry clapped for a winning joust.
