A large inn lying halfway between the Citadel and the hightower. The band is made up of patrons, and grows and shrinks in size as people come and go.
Joss Hightower is often here, and plays many of the instruments in the band.

Sometime after the welcome ball, Tybalt and Danyella arrive at the Notes. Tybalt is whistling a merry tune, the excitement of the city at night more electrifying than a stuffy ball could ever be.
He was popular at this establishment, at least his gold was. Well known for treating the patrons to rounds of drinks when jovial or deep in his cups, he had made many friends during his relatively short time in Oldtown.
He opened the door for Lady Danyella, ushering her inside with a winning smile.

Dany entered the tavern with a wide smile; the two cups of wine, night air and Tybalt had all done their work. She looked around the place approvingly. Failing to notice Tyana or Joss, she turned back to Tybalt.
"How come you've never brought me or Ty here with you before? Not you, Joss or any of you boys. What's so special about today?" she asked, wondering if all it had to take was a ball gone bad.

"I can't speak for the others, but you were both just girls when I arrived two years ago. This is hardly a place for girls." Tybalt replied with a glance around. "With Lord Hightower's young new wife, perhaps I realized I should be treating you more like women."
Tybalt approached the barkeep and tossed him and gold dragon from his coinpurse.
"A round for all my friends." he said with a sweeping gesture to all the patrons. "And keep them coming."

"That's a lot of friends," Dany said before sitting down at a nearby table, thinking about what Tybalt had just said.

"Tonight my friends are yours, mildly." Tybalt replied through the raucous cheer of the gathered crowd.
"So how long have you been coveting an invitation?" he asked in a sly tone, sitting down next to Danyella.

Dany laughed a bit. "As long as you keep the drinks coming, sure," she said, and smirked before replying to his question. "Not long. I overheard one of the boys talking about the place once, but didn't pay much attention to it. After that, it just kept coming up. Besides, I always want to get out from the Tower. I'm lucky if they let me on the streets, let alone countryside."
Or Highgarden, she thought.

"Well is it everything you imagined it to be?" Tybalt asked, a making a grandiose sweeping gesture.
"As for you getting out more, perhaps I can work some magic there as well." he said smiling. "But for now, let's enjoy this new experience."

Joss arrived, and nodded at the barkeep, and some of the locals. He headed through a door into a back room.

"It is pretty great," she admitted and studied him for a moment in admiration. Then, she cracked a wide smile. "Of course. A drink?"
She saw Joss entering and craned her neck to see better when he left for another room. "Uh.. did he not see us or something?"

Just after Joss entered Tyana also entered and headed straight to Dany and Tybalt, looking round the room trying to take it in. "having fun?" she asked after a second, grinning at Dany as she said it.

Dany looked at Tyana and grinned in return. "You made it!" she exclaimed, pulling the Lannister girl down to the seat next to her. "It's pretty lively here. So terribly sorry about the cake," she said, but was having a laugh about it now.

"Yes I'm sure he just missed us." Tybalt replied in regards to Joss, though at this point he knew better. "A drink first, then a dance. With all the chaos at the ball I did not get one and the band here is without comparison."
He grinned from ear to ear as his sister joined them. He had not truly expected her to come, but was happy she had.

Joss comes walking out of the door behind the bar talking with a short man. They split, and Joss walks over to the group still behind the bar and asks, "What do you want?"

"Oh, do you work here now?" Dany asked amusedly, greeting him with a smile. "Summerwine, please."
