"Oh. I don't have anything in mind, but I promised to come find you, so here I am."
She continued to smile.
"But, I thought, maybe there would be something from the time of Garth Greenhands. That's always interesting."

"Oh...y..you dident need to c...come if you didn't w...want to.." He says and "O....one moment." He runs off to a unseen part of the Library. He returns with a book of poems. "H....hows this...?"

"I gave my word," she said. "I hate breaking promises. But of course, poetry is all to the good. Unless..."
She smiled mischievously.
"It's not Lyseni love poetry, is it?"

"Oh. Shall we have a read. We can easily put it aside if it is," she said. "I accidentally found a book like that once. My face went as red as my hair. Quite embarrassing."
She turned the page but fortunately the poetry was in the Common Tongue and not at all embarrassing. It was, in fact, innocent verse about the love of knights for their ladies and vice versa.
"Oh, that's sweet," she said. "And here is one about the Lady Shiera Seastar. I read once that a dozen men proposed marriage to her, including her half-brother, the Lord Bloodraven, but she refused every one."

"And I b...believe her o...ither brother. Lord Bittersteel...." He says still red of the topic.

"Oh yes. But Bloodraven was the man she chose, though she never loved him. But I can't decide which is the more romantic figure among the two men. I mean, Bloodraven ruled the kingdom for years and years and then he went off and joined the Night's Watch, I think. But Bittersteel founded the Golden Company."
She paused, her hand gently cradling the book.
"Which of the two do you prefer?"

He shrugs. "Beneath the Gold, the Bittersteel.." He says reciting their motto. "R.. romantically seeking he founded the G...golden Company to prove himself to her, y....yet it was to late.." He says.

"So it was. He chose the wrong side," she agreed. "There is something so tragic about that, don't you find? And Daemon Blackfyre, dying at the Battle of Redgrass Field. So noble and yet so doomed."

"Indeed, Bloodravens archers raining down on them, seeing that they could not fight in the shade...." he says relaxing talking to her.

"Yes. Such a sad story. I always wonder what would have happened if Daemon Blackfyre had won, don't you?"

"A fragile thing time is, I am sure if they would have won we would not be here talking..." He says looking at the poem.

"Oh, that's true."
She paused and laughed then looked at the book again.
"I suppose we should actually read it!"

He chuckles weakly, "I suppose you are right. Where to Start?"

"Oh here," she said and recited in a clear voice. "The body of the beauty seemed to bloom with blood. She was clothed in a kerchief clustered with pearls which shone like snow - snow on the upper slopes of her upper breast and bright bare throat."
She paused.
"There! She must have been a true beauty."
