Merchant Guildhouse

[Horas]

One of Braavos' prosperous guilds of merchants, known for buying goods from foreign merchants and selling them in the city itself.

[Horas]

A boy is sent by to request a meeting with the guild masters on behalf of House Redwyne of the Arbor, on a business matter that should prove profitable for all involved. A modest bribe is presented to grease the clerk's hands.

[The Smith]

The bribe is accepted. The boy is asked "to which guildmasters."

[Horas]

"The wine ones?" the boy sounds uncertain.

[The Smith]

The Clerk raised an eyebrow, "None of them deal solely in wine, and do you wish to truly speak with all five of these lords at once. They will not likely enjoy it."

[Horas]

"My master's looking for a local partner to sell his goods in this city. Wine from the Arbor." The boy lays another coin on the counter. "Any of these lords be open to something like that?"

[The Smith]

The clerk picked up the coin and replied, "Lord Julio and Lord Bartlez. Both import wine in droves for their businesses."

[Horas]

"Then a meeting with Lord Julio, at his convenience."

[The Smith]

The clerk nodded, and noted items in his ledger. "It would be wise to bring a gift to Lord Julio. He will expect an opulant reward."

[Horas]

"What does Lord Julio like? Other than wine," the Redwyne messenger asks.

[The Smith]

The Clerk looked at the boy, "I do not think I heard you properly."

[Horas]

The boy makes a sour face, then sets another coin on the counter. "I asked what sort of gifts does a rich man like Lord Julio like?" he says.

[The Smith]

"Richmen like many gifts, Lord Julio likes two things. Expensive whores. Exspensive Wine, and Exotic weapons." The clerk nodded.

[Horas]

"What time can he meet with my masters?" the boy asks.

[The Smith]

"He will be here tomorrow in the morning, and then he shall adjurn to the Vauge Recollection for the evening. That is a house of pleasure, but it charges even more then I."
