"I am an archer myself..." she admitted, "Mayhaps I should enter it, I might then understand?" she mused, going from sad to curious in less than a second and looked off into the distance as if Triston was no longer there before shaking her head and looking back to him.
"I shall go, of course, unless my father wishes to go, in which case I shall stay at Godsgrace. Will all of house Toland be attending?"

"A fair few of us, no doubt, but one or two of us must say to look after the castle. My uncle serves as Mother's steward so he at least will remain, doubtless with a few of the others, I would like to see you compete in the archery, my adyy. My sister Eleyna is here in Sunspear. Have you met her?"

"I had the honour," she said, smiling, much more friendly now she seemed to have got rid of a weight, "She sounds as if she misses my uncle greatly."

"Yes," Triston agreed. "She does. Their love was powerful to see. I've never known anything like it, myself, though I hope to. One day. You've not met your little cousin, have you?"

"No, I should like to. Does he take after Lucas or your sister?" she asked, "It doesn't sound as if Lady Elenya has really met him recently either, from what she says. Don't you think it unfair she keeps away from him?"

"He looks like Eleyna, I'd say, but I had little to do with Lucas when he lived at Ghost Hill and in any case I was gone for squring most of the time," he admitted. "So I hope you will forgive me if my recollection of him is imperfect. It does seem unfair, truly, but then we all grew up happy without our own parents at Ghost Hill so of course I find it a little odd that Eleyna can bear to be without her son. But...it's not for me to judge."

"Someone needs to judge." she commented, "Someone judges everything, just because we shouldn't doesn't mean we don't." Myranda went on, shaking her head, "we should perhaps keep it to ourselves, but it annoys me she is doing it, but it is her own choice."
As she finished Marq entered the gardens and looked round, spotting his sister with some unknown man, and strode straight over. He and Myranda looked as close to identical as was possible for twins like them to be, his hair was cut off at the shoulders, and his face was more angular, but other than that.
"You ran off before I had a chance to explain..." he said to Myranda, who looked away ignoring him. He looked down suspiciously at the other knight and narrowed his eyes. "My name is Marq Allyrion," he announced curtly, "May I ask who you are."

Triston bowed to Marq. He would rather continue talking to Myranda but he had impeccable manners so he wouldn't let his preference show.
"Ser Triston Toland of Ghost Hill." he murmured. "Lady Myranda speaks well of you. I hear you are to compete in the tourney?"

Upon hearing his surname his demeanour changed immediately, and he grinned at the other, bowing back, "Ser Triston, forgive me, you never know who could be about." he said with a laugh before shooting the back of his sister's head a dark look, "If my lady will let me," he said in a cheerful tone that didn't match his look, "Nothing ever happens at Godsgrace, the excitement of a new tourney will please me greatly. I assume you shall as well?"

"Oh certainly. I'm not as great a warrior as my cousin Ser Arthur but I'm the second best warrior at Ghost Hill so I consider it my duty and my pleasure to compete. I'm curious about seeing places other than Dorne, anyway, so that's an extra reason to go. But I think it a pity your fair sister does not agree with us."

"My unfair sister," he joked, and looked down at her still looking away and sighed, "She'll come around, she always does, she just has a few silly ide-ow!" he said, and jerked his leg away from Myranda's hand hitting it. "Perhaps she should participate in the Melee." he added to Marq sourly as Myranda stood up.

"Oh, the melee is not for ladies," Triston said. "And i for one would feel honour-bound to protect her if she entered, and then I would not be able to give my full attention to a victory. So, I think it's much better for ladies to sit in the stands and cfheer us on. But if the Lady Myranda chooses to enter the archery, I for one would be pleased to watch that."

Marq laughed and looked from Myranda to Ser Triston with a wide smile, "I was only joking ser. You think I would let my sister enter a brawl?"

"Some men might. Ther are a nubmer of Dornish women who behave like men. I should know, my mother is one of them," Triston revealed. "She fought in a frew tourneys in her youth, I believe. How am I to know if Lady Myranda is truly as ladylike as she seems? My mother looks a true lady too, when she's in skirts."

"Myranda can't even pick up a sword, let along swing it," Marq said, cooly, earning him another smack, this time to his arm.
"I am so sorry, Ser Triston, of our whole he is the bad half." she said, glaring up at him but soon returning to smile at Triston, "Who is your mother?"
