"We were vry close, especially as adults. I had drifted apart from Lily and Kyma as time passed, so Alysanne and I stuck together. She had a good heart and she was far more beautiful than I ever was, though I admit that I had some admirers too. I wish you'd known her."

Arya nodded solemnly. "I wish it too. With father gone you're on of the few left that really knew her. It would be comforting for me if you did remain in the area of King's Landing at least, but again, I understand if you will leave. Mari doesn't want to be a part of court either. For me, I don't have much of a choice, it's my life and my duty to be here."

"It would be mine too, if my son desired my company," Rhaenys said. "You may stay with me, if ever you tire of Court life, but, truth be told, I do not know yet what I will do with the time that is left to me. I fear it will not be a safe or stable life for me."

"You could travel. I found that interesting when I was away from court. I haven't seen much of the kingdom so it was an experience for me. Your son does not desire the company of many, so you should not feel that is a reason to leave."

"There's more to it than that, child, and perhaps I will travel. It will depend on many things yet to be discovered," Rhaenys sighed.

Aryanna gave a small smile. "I can see where Joanna inherited her cryptic nature from."

"Forgive me," Rhaenys murmured. "My heart is heavy with the weight of the new discoveries I have made and, as you can see, few of them are pleasant. I hated being confined at the Eyrie even though my health made it necessary but now I am well and free, I do not know what path to tread. Kings need wives and sisters, perhaps even cousins, but not mothers. I am not necessary any more."

"To me you are," Arya smiled. "If you feel so bad at being confined, you should not run away to confine yourself again."

""Perhaps you are right, child, but I cannot stay here, either. Remaining at court would only highlight my lack of purpose," Rhaenys argued. "So, I must find somewhere else to go."

"Well," She looked dissapointed, "Let me know where you will go, I was hoping we could be closer since I do not have much family. I don't talk much with Lady Kyma, she's always so busy, you're the one who was probably closest to my mother in any case. I would like to see you use a sword some time too." She smiled big.

"That we can do, of course, but please remember that I have been horribly ill in the recent past and I no longer wield Blackfyre," Rhaenys answered. "So I am afraid it won't be as it was when I was young but I shall do my best for you."

"I understand, maybe you can just show me a thing or two. Lady Ganieda helped me in secret while I was at the Eyrie. She helped save me. Perhaps we can have dinner some time, I feel like I am intruding."

"It's quite alright. We shall have dinner any time you like, Arya, and I will show you what I can. Do you train often with the blade?" Rhaenys asked.

"No, a little bit when I am alone in my room. It is not something I want people to know about or see me in practice. It is for my own safety that I am driven to it. I can't rely on men to protect me all the time."

"Good. That's a good attitude. I wish more women shared it," Rhaenys murmured approvigly. "So, if I train with you, would you wish that to be in secret as well?"
