Anni walked down to the courtyard. Her son in her arms, her wet nurse following behind her.

Marianne entered the courtyard with the two Royce girls. She had left Oscar and Adelene with Tybolt in Blackhaven and missed them as soon as she had left.

She smiled when she saw Anni, Keeping her eyes away from her young nephew.

'Anni was suprised to see Mari. she smiled warmly when she saw her sister in law. 'Mari, how good it is to see you. How was your journey?'

[Marie]

Joanna arrived shortly after Anni. She had her son Selwyn wrapped up warm as she had taken him to visit the dragons.

"Mari!" She called, eyes lighting up as she saw her sister. "Eleyna, Cassie!"

She walked forward as quickly as she could.

Mari smiled.

"Joanna, I am sorry it took so long to reply to your letter."

what is it with women and blooming babies!!!

Anni smiled at Joanna, 'Your grace, how was the dragons?' Anni shifted her son to her other arm

"It doesn't matter," Joanna said. "You did what you had to do and you are here now. Here, would you hold my son for me, I want to embrace my daughters?"

Mari stopped.

"No, Joanna, I cant. Sorry." Her thoughts were on her children back home.

Anni handed her son to her wet nurse and offered to take Prince Selwyn from Joanna so she could see to her daughters

Joanna smiled warmly at Anni, who was as helpful and kind-hearted as ever.

"Thank you, it's good of you to assist," she said.

She put the baby into Anni's arms and ran forward to embrace her daughters. Cassana ran to Joanna at once.. Eleyna held back until Joanna held her close and they clung together for a long moment. Finally Joanna stepped free.

"Girls, this is your brother Selwyn," she said, incidating the baby Anni held. "And your cousin Sebastian."

Cassie looked curiously but seemed disinterested but Eleyna smiled warmly at both babies then turned to Anni "Can I please hold my baby brother, Aunt Anni?"

Joanna, meanwhile, turned to Mari and, embracing her, drew her aside with a puzzled frown

"Why would you not help me, sister?"

Anni smiled and kneeling on the ground handed Selwyn to his sister. staying where she was just in case she needed assistance. 'Cassie, would you like to hold Sebastian?'

"I left my son at home with my daughter and my husband Joanna, cant you see how it would hurt me to hold your son when I will miss my son growing?" Mari said a little sadly. "I will get used to Selwyn in time, but at the moment I just want Oscar."

[Marie]

Cassie bit her lip doubtfully but eventually nodded slowly.

"Alright. Is he heavy?"

Eleyna, meanwhile, was whispering nonsense words to Selwyn.

Joanna looked sadly at Mari.

"Oh, why did you not bring the children with you? You know they are always welcome here?"

'Not at all Cassie, he is to small to be heavy, but i will be here if he becomes to much for you my dear.' She motioned for her wet nurse who handed Sebastian to Anni who proceeded to hand him to Cassie

"I dont want them here court Jo, I told you that. They deserve to grow up away from the damage of it." Mari gave a small smile. "And Tybolt wouldnt have been able to not have them with him all the time. Driving him up the wall as he trys to work."
