The Trial of Prince Daeron Targaryen

[The Stranger]

"What's my name?" the soldier whispered, deadpan.

[Marie]

"Oh, I was rather hoping you would tell me," she said,

He shook his head with a slightly amused expression, and returned to his post.

[Marie]

Joanna beckoned to her food taster and had peel the orange so she didn't get sticky fingers, then ordered him to sample everything since she didn't know where it came from.

[Princess Lyssandra Martell]

Arya was shepherded by Milo's goons into the room and took a seat in a chair.

[Marie]

Since her food taster didn't drop down dead, Joanna began to eat.

[The Stranger]

The king called the court back to order.

"Lord Bettley, call your next witness."

"I call the Lady Aryanna Dayne, if it please your grace."

"It does please me," Daemon replied, "let's get this over with."

[Princess Lyssandra Martell]

Arya got up and walked over to where she would be asked questions. Her face was blank and she felt nervous as she felt all eyes on her.

[The Stranger]

Milo smiled at Arya warmly.

"Lady Aryanna, so glad you could join us. I have a few questions. Prince Daeron came to you recently, to speak about the marriage of King Daemon and Queen Joanna correct? Can you tell us about that meeting?"

[Princess Lyssandra Martell]

Arya looked at all the people at her and then remembered she was asked a question, "Well it wasn't a meeting, he had stopped by my room to gift me some dresses, because he said he would before, and then we went for a walk and talked about different things."

[The Stranger]

"And was one of those things... regarding Queen Joanna and King Daemon's marriage?" Milo asked.

[Princess Lyssandra Martell]

"It came up in our conversations. Yes." Arya rubbed her hand.

[The Stranger]

"Isn't it true that when I spoke to you earlier, I asked whether you had heard of "the Prince's plot", and that you not only immediately spoke Daeron's name, but asked whether or not the King was in danger?" Milo looked down at some notes on parchment in front of him, as if double-checking a quote.

[Princess Lyssandra Martell]

"I remember you mentioning there was a plot, and that a prince was involved. I recall that Daeron said he was uncertain about how the marriage would go over with people."

[The Stranger]

"and you interpreted that to mean that the King may be in danger?" Milo asked.
