"It's not that Jo'. It's that I don't know what I can do to end this fascination of yours. This dream of dragons will cause you... cause us... nothing but pain, if you can't put it behind you. And the only thing worse than not getting it will be getting it. HE..." Jon spit the word, "has dragons? What do I have?"

Jherek falls in step alongside her. "Not necessarily fearsome, but the man that taught me everything I know - 'Helm', he called himself - told me to always apologize if you think you did something wrong, even if you did not." His eyes widen "Sorry if you were trying to go for the fearsome thing." he said jokingly. A smile crosses his face as he ponders the second question. "As far as my reasons for coming here, I am simply looking for purpose, and my trail led me here." "You wont find purpose here." Aalina warned the bard. "I wouldnt go for fearsome, it gets people into alot of trouble alot of the time." She thought back to her father.

You always have. I never loved any man before I fell in love with you nor have I loved any other since that day. Only you. You'[re a better man than my brother. He may have the dragons but there is an unsteadiness about him that troubles me. I have never seen that in you. "

Jon patted her hand with his, "Thank you Jo. You know my mother warned me about this match. Jon she said, 'Targaryens aren't like you and me. They have different, dangerous passions.' Of course at the time I thought she meant in the bedroom," he chuckled, "which sounded terribly exciting, but now I think I know what she meant."

She leaned her head against his shoulder.
"Dragons are in my blood. I'm sorry that you don't undersatnd my feelings. Please try to accept them. I cannot help loving dragons any more than I can help loving you, or our daughters. You know I've been a good wife to you all these years. We've made each other happy, haven't we?"

Jon stiffened again, "Don't compare my daughters to big lizards please," he said bristling slightly. "And you've been a fine wife Jo', despite this business. I just think... for all our sakes, perhaps court is not the place for you. There are too many temptations."

She went cold all over. Court was where she belonged now.
"It woudl look odd if the king's own ssister shunned Court," she said. "Besides, Morgan would miss me. I swore I would be her friend."

"I'm sure that was before you played naked betting games with her husband," Jon said, deadpan, "have you talked to her since?"

"No, but I would have if it wasn't for your letter. I doubt Morgan would even care since it was not she who was so badly humiliated," Joanna sighed. "She's very...self-involved. More so than me."

Jon sniffed, "If you say so. But Daemon will just torment you more. He knows you lust for dragons, and since it seems his goal is to mock you, we should not put you in that position."

Seh stroked his shoulders.
"Do you think I will break beneath my brother's torments, Jon? I promise you I will not."

"You wont find purpose here." Aalina warned the bard. "I wouldnt go for fearsome, it gets people into alot of trouble alot of the time." She thought back to her father. He stares off pensively, much as she did. "Well, I may not find purpose here, but I can at least find a steady job... hopefully. I usually travel from town to town, singing for my supper in various inns, often throwing dice with rather unsavory people. My instruments are my most prized possessions, and I hope that they can perhaps find a home here." He waits for a moment, then returns to his normal jubilation. "Nonetheless, I shall continue my entertainment of you. Which would you like next? Juggling, tumbling, or one of the talents you already saw before?"

She melted towards him but she doubted she could give him the answer he wanted.
"Because I'm torn. I am a creature of two worlds, Jon. I need home and the Court."

"Well for the time being, try to be of this world, and we'll see how it goes. I don't want you to be like those creatures at court," Jon said sternly.
