Several hours later, Maekar quietly enters the bedchambers and goes to sleep himself.

Anni awakes the next morning to the sound of her baby crying. it is still dark out and Maekar was asleep beside her. she quietly gets out of bed and walks out of the chamber to find her wet nurse pacing with Saella. she takes the baby and feeds her instantly quietening her. one of the servents had already made the fire so Anni sat with her child in front of it. she expected to her husband to rise shortly

Maekar rose and began preparing himself for court. As he dressed infront of the mirror, he spoke to his wife.

"Anni, perhaps it is time you returned to the Eyrie, I do not like leaving the keep without at least one of us to keep our affairs in order. Also, Lady Aryanna will be growing restless without company, now that Joanna has departed."

Anni looked at her husband anger in her eyes.
'What ever you say my dear.' She said in a seething tone. Anni found that he always brought her angry side out. she looked away fuming. tears of anger shon in the corners of her eyes

Maekar gritted his teeth at her tone. He finished getting ready and left.

Anni left the chambers after Maekar with her children to go and play in the gardens
