Daemon sipped his own glass, "Ariadne is this matter so urgent? Lord Wyl looks a beggar still covered in the dust from the road. If I were him I would be mortified to appear in the presence of my King like that."

Lord Wyl bowed his head, accepting the insult.
"Well, that is true your grace, but the truth looks good regardless of its outfit, and that is what Lord Wyl has brought us. Unlike this exquiste wine," the princess says, raising her glass, "justice is not as good when it is aged."

Valrus accepts the cup, but doesn't drink just yet. His stomach grumbled nefariously, and he attempts to wait it out before imbibing.

Daemon seems to notice Manderly, "Valrus have you any advice on the matter?"

Valrus flushed, knowing his wits were more concerned on his angry stomach.
"Well..." He started, feeling the grumble worsen. "It seems..." He paused, wincing.
"If the King is offended by his presence, he should be given a small recess to clean himself. If not, he should present his evidence. This matter is important, for if it is true, it presents some very serious difficulties." He winced again.
"Though I hope for his sake, he does not lie."

Lord Steffon is present at court, his face impassive, as he waited for Wyl to speak his piece.

Daemon smiled, and bowed his head to Manderly, then turning to Ariadne he spoke, "Your man may speak, if he is content with his appearance."

"If his grace would be willing to entertain me for a brief conversation while Lord Wyl changes his doublet, I think we could tolerate a pause," Princess Ariadne says with a offering smile, "Otherwise, why not proceed?"

Daemon suddenly smiled, "Would you prefer to speak with my hand. As usual he has taken up most of the more tedious tasks a King must preform." He leaned forward and smiled.

Ariadne frowned visibly, "It is not what I had in mind your grace, but It is always a pleasure to speak with one's fellow Lords Paramount, and it would be discourteous to decline, Lord Manderly may take it for an insult." She stood and offered her arm, "Lord Manderly, shall we?"

Daemon stood and smiled at Steffon, "Perhaps you could show Lord Wyl to his rooms."

Valrus sighed, his stomach afire, and nodded, placing his best smile on.
"Very...very well." He said, his smile unbroken. "Proceed."

Steffon stood, and bowed to the King. "As you say, your grace,"
"This way, Lord Wyl, if you would," he said, gesturing toward the passage that led toward the guest's quarters.

"I can find it," Wyl says.
