"My own woman, of course, but I'd sooner take them bioth."
Benjen had a nasty feeling Leilana would not relinquish the girl so easily to death and he felt obbliged to make a token effort in her favour.

Benjen turned to Leilanna.
"We must leave quickly, else they'll kill us both. I've risked enough for people I don't know and a faith which isn't my own."

Once they were outside and well away from the walls, Benjen stopped his companion.
"Blast them. Now I have no idea where we might go to find information. I don't want to return to the princess with nothing. Greywater Watch is no use to us now. I'd know if my quarry was there. You said you don't wish to go to White Harbor and Karstark was no use to us. Tell me what else you know of the lords of the North."

Leilanna spoke, "We should head for the nearest keep now. We can get more horses, and and weapons."

"Torhenn's Square then," Benjen announced. "That is where we shall go. There are smaller holdfasts on the way, of course, so we may be able to get horses and arms earlier but that is our destination."

Leilanna nodded, and threaded her arm through his. "Somewhere along the way I lost my servant. Tis a shame." She began to walk.

"I lost my horse and my sword, along with my pride," Benjen grumbled. "But I cannot go back to my princess and kinswoman in failure. We will continue onwards. Well, I must, even if you will not."

"She was a girl, and I was pretty, but I have a mission for my master, and I owe him more then my life."
