[Marie]

"They are better armed and most like better trained as well. Will those here be prepared to risk their lives in a fight?"

[The Smith]

"Not all of us, but enough. We will hold them."

[Marie]

"Perhaps we should just fight then. No-one wants a siege."

[The Smith]

The Septa frowned, "They are more skilled and better armed then us. I do not think we could survive an assault."

[Marie]

"What, then? Would you have us sit here besieged until help comes?" Benjen demanded. "I don't think we have any other options."

[The Smith]

"Neither do I.. young man."

[Marie]

"Then you favour a siege"

[The Smith]

She nodded, "We will make do, but that is what any general would decide given our numbers."

[Marie]

"As you wish."

Benjen was beginning to wish he had left the people of Winterfell to their fate. He wasn't comfortable fighting for a religion in which he did not believe, yet his own people, as he saw them, were prepared to commit murder on undeserving people. He belonged with neither side.

[The Smith]

After the Siege Benjen is brought before the leader of the bandits. "Are you the one who called down he was faithful?"

[Marie]

"To the old gods, aye, my mother raised me in that faith."

[The Smith]

"You can go free." The man said, and smiled.

[Marie]

Benjen eyed the man with disguised suspicion. He found it odd that they would let him go after he had fought against them.

"My thanks. What will you do with Winterfell? Make it a shrine of the old gods?"

[The Smith]

"No a fortress for the God's Eye." He smiled, "Like it is suppose to be."

[Marie]

"Oh, and what about Lord Manderley?"
