He thanks Lord Tregario again, then lets the servants show him to the quarters he will be staying in. He makes sure to wedge something large and solid in front of his window before falling asleep.

Quentyn rises from the bed and walks across the carpet on bare feet, then stoops down, picks the envelope up, and opens it.

The letter says:
"Tomas Thatcher departed Braavos for Pentos, three days ago aboard a ship called the "Maiden Voyeur.
