The Braavosi woman opened the door, spoke amiably to the two guards outside the door, and walked to her room across the hall. One of the guards stuck his head inside to look at the bath room, but does not seem to notice Quentyn dangling precariously from the ledge.
Quentyn begins to wait.

As he waits, Quentyn tries to see if he can tie the rope around one of the columns so that it might bear his weight.

Quentyn manages to loop the rope underneath his rear, so he can sit in it as a kind of sling.
A full hour later, the young woman peers out over the ledge.
"Am I meant to be climbing down that as well?" She asks. She is wearing a peasant blouse and white skirt, probably in her best attempt at a scullery maid, but still looking quite the highborn. A small package of other goods is wrapped in her towel.

Quentyn pulls himself mostly back into the window. "I can lower you down," he says, indicating the sling, "But we shall have to climb the outer wall. I will have a rope there as well; do you think you can manage it if I help you?"

"You'd better not drop me," She insists.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Quentyn says, and helps her into the sling, ensuring that she is holding on tightly before beginning to lower her.

She is slowly lowered down to the ground, when her feet touch, she looks up and smiles, tugging on the rope.

Quentyn carefully latches the window behind him and climbs down the same way he came up. He puts an arm around the girl, extending his dark cloak over her white clothing, then ushers her swiftly and quietly to hide behind a hedgerow.
There is a smile on his lips, and he puts one finger over them to gesture for quiet. In a low whisper, he says, "We will wait for the guards on the wall to pass, then I will throw this," he gestures towards his grappling hook, "And we move up and over the outer wall. Remember that so long as you are silent, you are the night, and more powerful than any of your father's guards by far."
It would be a close call, Quentyn knew. He hoped he would not need to use Bannen again.

The girl giggled, "You're a funny one Pox Face." She replied, but waited to do as instructed.
When the guards past Quentyn sprang into action, throwing his hook over, and guiding the girl up the rope, following behind.

He did not want to risk the girl breaking her ankle with the fall, so he swiftly hooks the grappling hook to the other side of the wall and urges her to slide down. He is right behind her.

The girl is fairly flexible and agile, although she struggles several times. Eventually both get over the wall, and sprint into the darkness where Bannen waits.

"Now you must admit that was far more enjoyable than sitting in your tower cell all night, milady," Quentyn winks through the mask.
Bannen joins them, a larger shadow in the darkness. He wears no mask, but his hood obscures his features in the night. He says nothing as the three of them make their way towards the docks.

The girl, on the other hand, does not say nothing, "where are we going Pox Face? Why are we headed to the docks? How did you decide to rescue me?"

"Shh-shh," Quentyn smiles, "I will explain once we get out of the streets. Here we are," Quentyn says as they approach a tall masted ship with a Norvosi look about her -- one of the ships Quentyn had previously hired.
He throws a bag of silver at the mate on watch to get his attention. "Tell you Captain we are ready to depart."

///////////////////////////////////////////// Quentyn is escorted inside, and brought face to face with Lord Herod Tregario.
"I am in a rather strange situation, Quentyn of House Targaryen," The man says, "It seems I find myself thanking you for kidnapping my daughter."
