Quentyn did not think a lie would serve himself well here. He falls to one knee and bows his head.
"Be that as it may, Lord Tregario... it was a very foolish act on my part, for many different reasons, and I must beg your forgiveness."

Tregario shook his head, "If you had not taken the job, and yes, been foolish, my daughter would be dead. You see, I awoke this morning, and found my Sarina gone. Naturally, the first thing i did was speak to Tyrone, who explained that you had kidnapped her, when you were supposed to kill her. I should very much like to return her to Braavos, but that is naturally impossible. So while I do not hold a grudge against you, I am forced to charge you with her future welfare."

"I am honored, Lord, but you do not wish her returned? If you wish I could show you and your guardsmen where and why your security broke down so that you might remedy the problem."

Tregario waved his hand, "No amount of security would protect her. Not here in Braavos. She must remain abroad I fear, at least, until I have vanquished my enemies. Tyrone will not feel compelled to fulfill a contract for a client who is no longer alive."

"I see," Quentyn says, still on one knee, "I have my best man protecting her at the moment, and Queen Morgan is always glad to have more noble ladies at the court. We should be able to protect her in Westeros."

"That is very well, although it is you, and not some court, I expect to see to her welfare" Tregario said. "May I ask... why did you take a job... to do this thing, if you did not intend to do it?" I have been trying to figure that out, and I do not understand it. You did not owe me anything."

"Ah," Quentyn smiles weakly. "I am afraid I suffer from an excess of chivalry, Lord. It is a most dangerous malady when one does what I do. I had supposed I would renegotiate with Tyrone once I had your daughter in my custody and cross him later, but... that may have been a foolish plan as well."
Quentyn sighs, then speaks again. "I will extend all of my abilities to protect your daughter, Lord Tregario, but I am afraid I cannot leave Braavos now."

Tregario sighed, "I'm afraid you do not have much of a choice my friend. Tyrone will not bother you while you are in my company, but when you leave these walls, he will certainly exercise his threat. What keeps you hear, if I may ask?"

"Duty, Lord," Quentyn replies. "I am searching for a man named Tomas Thatcher. And while my mission might not be so important that I will harm an innocent girl for it, it is important enough that I do not plan to leave until I have found this man's trail."

Tregario nodded. "I see. Well there may be a solution then. Tyrone is in the habit of selling information. I will purchase this information for you. You are... related to the King of Westeros, are you not?"

"I am his cousin," Quentyn affirms.

"Well... it is perhaps not an ideal... match, but I think it shall suffice. If you marry my daughter, I will know she is safe, and being taken care of. I will purchase this information for you from Tyrone, and you can then continue your efforts." Tregario crossed his arms over his chest.

Quentyn blinks. "I... yes. Of course. I will gladly take your daughter's hand in marriage." He rises to his feet. "And I shall do my best to persuade King Daemon to support your cause."

"Thank you Quentyn. You may stay here for the evening. I will have a steward bring you the information you seek in the morning," Tregario says.

"Thank you," Quentyn bows. "If I may ask a question first, however. This man Tyrone. He is the type who carries grudges?"
