"Lady Aryanna, it is hard to offend me, do not be so over cautious, I just find it hard to talk sometimes of my life. I did not mean to sound disagreeable."

"I'm sorry, I just have never really talked to a Septa, at least not when I am in a Sept. So I am just curious. Perhaps now that I know you are i nthe company of the Princess, and that she is staying here at court in service to the Queen, we can be friends." She smiled.

Aalina smiled. "Prehaps, it would be nice to know more people, other then The Princess."

"Well then, today is a great oppurtunity to find new friends. The Queen is here of course, you can talk with her, her grace is often in a good mood. There are a few stranger women about, but life would be boring if we were all the same! Do you agree?"

"I do." Aalina agreed. "Yet people still like to follow after another, have you not found that?"

Joanna arrived clothed in a - for her - relatively modest gown of red satin. The dress had full skirts and long, dagged sleeves and the three-headed dragon embroidered on it in gold.

"I do." Aalina agreed. "Yet people still like to follow after another, have you not found that?" "Yes," She saw Joanna enter and waved her cousin over. "How modest you look today Joanna!" Ary smiled and gave her cousin kisses on the cheek. "I have just been conversing with Septa Aalina. The Queen is here and so are some other ladies from court."

"Oh, excellent!" Joanna cried. "I am pleased you two have met. Aalina, I'm sorry I did not come with you. It took me a while to choose my gown for the party, but I am pleased you decided to come."
She kissed Arya back.
"Everything looks so lovely. And here is your gift."
She held out a wrapped parcel.

"Oh thank you!" She inspected the parcel, "Should I open it now or wait for later? I'm afraid my curiosity will slowly eat me alive." She giggled. Ary turned her gaze to Aalina and then back to Joanna, "I cannot believe you have kept Aalina all to yourself, I don't think many of us even knew you had her teaching your children."

"Well, most ladies have septas to teach their children. There's nothing new it that. Mine just happens to be a friend as well as a septa. As for the gift, please do open it now."

Aryanna grinned and set it on a nearby table, opening it with careful enthusiasm.

The parcel was a new gown, deep purple silk and of an attractive cut. Silver thread decorated the bodice and the sleeves were long and full.
"I hope it fits," Joanna said. "if not, the seamstress will be happy to alter it."

Aalina smiled at the present that had been given, she knew the seamstress well and thought this one of her better works.

Arya turned red and held her mouth, "Oh it's wonderful Joanna! Thank you so much, you have gotten it perfect." She hugged her cousin emphatically. "A dress from you, I know it will capture the gaze of others! Thank you again." She chuckled, "please have something to eat and drink!"

"I will then."
Joanna turned to look at the fare taht was on offer.
"Shall I leave the two of you to talk in peace?"
