"Did you fight often? And is it true that the courtesans there are held in high regard?"

"I fought often. Myr and Lorath both claim an important mine, and have been waging war over it for decades. In Pentos I helped instill a new Prince forcefully." Aidan answered, "And in Lys the Courtasians seem to run the city sometimes. They are more important then its princelings."

"Were you ever scared of dying? And that no one would know that you had perished in such a distant land?" Arya looked at him wit big eyes.

"Warriors do not like talking about such things." Aidan said and offered her a smile, "We push such thoughts from our mind, for otherwise how could we do what we do."

"Yes, I suppose you're right, though I have read of poetry that deals with that." She bent over again to smell another flower that was a bright purple. A bee flew by and it gave her a startle, but she recovered. "Here you are recognised as a man of skill, with a bright future. Be it with the kingsguard or with some other service to the King. What did you miss most over there?"

Aidan chuckled, "The food. There is such a wide variety of different and bizarre dishes. I did not enjoy it all, but I enjoyed exploring the different realms of cuisine from each city-state."

"And the ladies there? How different are they from us? I assume they have a system much like us, though you said their courtesans have power, which is an odd arrangement."

"As low as my status is here, it is much lower in the free cities. I spent most of my time with the soldiers, and with the lower classes." Aidan replied, "I do not know the systems of the ladies."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear. I do not believe that selling ones virtue and being a whore is a system that is appropriate. I am glad that here in Westeros there is at least a bit more esteem given to maidens and chastity. Since I have asked my questions of you for now, is there anything you wish to ask me?"

Aidan thought a moment, "What is the best way for a knight, like myself, to woo a young lady of court, like yourself."

"Ehhe" She laughed nervously, and was immediately embarrassed for it. "Well for ladies like myself, I like poetry and soft words and hearts but also strong and able warriors. Most ladies like going for walks and dinners and going out for rides. We are simple gentle creatures of course."

Aidan nodded, "And which strong and able warrior has captured your favor?"

"I did give my favour to Ser Tomas Thatcher, out of my goodwill and urging by my sisters, but he has turned to be a great villain. I didn't give my favour to anyone before or since then, as I take time to trust a man now."

Aidan nodded, "That is wise. Half of the men I have met have been liars. So every other man you met is worth trusting. The problem is finding which man is which."

"Yes, it is difficult finding these things out for my own. Has there been a lady that has caught your eye since you have come here?"
