"I suppose Lord Bettley is busy, with the investigation of the Hand's murder?" Steffon asked rhetorically. "There is a matter in which I would seek his assistance; my sister has disappeared," he added.

"The King's youngest sister, Lady Marianne, has disappeared with Ser Tybolt Wylde. Both disappeared the night of the Masquerade Ball," he said quietly. "I fear that Wylde has dragged my sister into some illicit circle of his, and is using her to cover his own crimes."
