The Chamber of Whispers

Maekar watched him carefully.

"I have been looking into the attempt, I was wondering if you had been also."

[The Smith]

Milo sat down, and said, "Yes I have. Have you found anything?"

[Fel]

Maekar nodded.

"The name of the man who had purchased the house Lady Aryanna was attacked in, and the gang he is a part of. The Lady's knight friend also has told me of his suspicions regarding who ordered the attempt," Maekar said, looking at Milo unblinkingly.

"And you?"

[The Smith]

"I thought that Ser Aidan Sand's arrival was a tad convenient. So I have placed agents on him." Milo replied, "What was the name of that gang?"

[Fel]

"Convenient for Lady Aryanna and her knight perhaps, not so convenient for anyone who wanted her dead."

"The Three Hills Gang. Do you know of them?"

[The Smith]

"Three Hills?" Milo said slowly, and the coin glinted as it rolled over his hand. "I have heard of them. Clearly they were hired to do this. They are small time."

[Fel]

"Do you have a name for their leader?"

[The Smith]

Milo nodded, and spoke easily, "Ser Francis."

One of the men standing around the edges of the room steps forward, "Victor Hardfall, my lord."

[Fel]

Maekar nodded in thanks to the man, then turned back to Bettley. "Very well, my thanks Lord Bettley," he said, moving to the door. "If you have any further theories concerning the plot you will find me in my chambers."

[The Smith]

Milo answered smoothly, "And the same to you."
