"Was she strong willed? How did she accomplish her goal there?"

"Your mother was perhaps the most strong willed person ever." Euric says with a chuckle. "Bar Kyma Thatcher of course. I never really asked her about how she retrieved the eggs... some rumour that she slept with Prince Aldric Martell, thought I do not believe that."

Arya covered her mouth, "No! That cannot be true, I wouldn't believe it." She shook her head, "I wish I could see her."

Euric smiled sadly. "I wish so too every now and then. I love Lya, but I do miss Alysanne. There is nothing that can truly replace her."

"I'm sorry, Rhaegar says that I sort of look like her and I don't doubt one of my brother's or sister's blames me for her death."

"Well if they do then they are fools." Euric said shortly. "I do not blame you, Arya. I could never."

Arya nodded her head and hugged her father. "Can I stay here for the night?"

Euric smiled. "Of course. I will have the servants lay out set another bed and prepare some warm milk and honey for us." He chuckled. "How about some Lemoncakes?"

She smiled, "Of course, though not too many. I have to watch my figure!" She chuckled.

Euric laughed and had the servants prepare everything. When it was done he turned to his daughter. "Would you care for a story? I have not told you any since you were so small." He indicated an exaggerated small size with his hands.

"Of course, I love stories. But I'm just a bit too big to sit on your lap." She smiled and schooched closer to him.

Euric smiled. "Now, this is the story of a great Knight who took back the Red Keep from a traitor." He sipped some milk and began. "Long ago there was war in the kingdoms and a man who had thought to be loyal to the throne had taken charge of Kings Landing and was not following the Queen's orders. So she sent a knight down south with an army and she ordered him to punish the traitor. Now, this knight's wife had just given birth to their second son and so he did not want to put himself in too much danger so he sent for his friend. This friend was a very clever woman, and loyal to the knight, and some even rumour it was her that killed the Queen in the North." He picked up a Lemoncake and bit into it. "This woman snuck into the Red Keep and convinced the guards at the wall to open the gate when the knight's charge came. The men did not wish for more death than necessary and so they complied. Early next morning the knight gathered his army and attacked the Red Keep, and, lo and behold, the gate stood open for them. They charged in, putting down the few men that opposed them and soon they were striding through the halls of the Red Keep, searching for the traitor. In the Throne Room the knight found him, standing in deep red clothes and with his sword already in hand. He was all alone and he sneered at the knight. "Come at me and you will die." He said, his blade pointed at his enemy. But the knight was not scared and said "I shall give you a quick death.". The traitor laughed and so the knight drew his great magic sword, which was rumoured to have been crafted from the stars, and rushed at the traitor. But we walked into a trap; from the galleries above, crossbows shot down at the knight and his men. Most of the bolts missed their target but one found it's way into the knight's arm. He screamed in pain and the traitor took his chance. His blade came fast but our knight deflected the blow with his magical sword, wielding it in just one hand. Once, twice, three times the swords smashed against each other, sparks flying through the hall. A murderous glint was in the traitor's eyes as he stared down at the knight. "And now I will kill you." He said, raising his blade. But the knight was quicker; he stepped aside, spun around and brought his sword down with all of his strength, taking the traitor's head. He had fulfilled his promise of a quick death. And so the Red Keep was returned to the Queen and the knight had lead his last battle."

Arya's eyes lit up, "Oh wonderfu!" She leaned in and kissed her father on the cheek. "Were you the heroic knight? I would like to know the names of those in the story."

"Perhaps it was me," Euric said. "Perhaps not. But I can tell you that the knight went to have many children and he loved the all equally." He paused. "Well, he had one very beautiful daughter that he loved just a liiittle bit more." He pinched her cheeks at the last part.

Arya giggled and hugged, him, "I knew it!" She looked at him with starry eyes, "I'll be sure to pass down your stories to my children too."
