Euric smiled widely. "I hope to be around long enough to tell them myself, though I do not doubt you will tell them much better than me."

"And of course you'll need to teach them to be a great knight and warrior. I can't do that."

"Beric and Rhaegar can do that." Euric replied. "And Auric and Arthur, once they are of age." He rubbed his bad hand. "Though I would not mind holding Dawn one more time."

"Beric is hardly a good example of a knight, and Rhaegar is odd at times, it would have to be you." She gave him a hopeful smile.

"I will try, Arya, but I am not the youngest man anymore." Euric replied. "Perhaps I will have to enter the yard every now and again, learn how to wield a sword with the left hand."

"It's okay papa, you don't need to hold a sword to teach how to use it right?"

"It would help." He replied a little glum. "Ah well, your bed is prepared. If you wish we can go for a walk before you sleep or I could tell you another story."

"We can walk and you can tell me a story." She smiled and took his arm and started tugging him up.

"Oh well alright then." Euric said as he got up and the two left. "What story do you want to hear?"

"A story about a pretty lady or something like that."

"Ah pretty lady?" Euric asked. "Ah... hmmm, well fine then... though knights will have to be involved." He thought for a moment as they strolled along. "There was a beautiful lady of the north once, though not a lot of men noticed her. One did, however, and he was a prince. A stunning young man that would play music more than he would fight. The two fell in love and for them the rest of the world did not matter. It was just them and their love; they would spend secret night together, holding each other until the sun came up. But around them the world revolved." He sighed dramatically. "She wanted to be with him forever and so the two of them ran away. But a prince may not run and neither the daughter of a Stark and so things progressed for the worst and the Kingdom had war." The rounded a corner and found themselves near a small park, a tower at it's center. "The Prince meanwhile had brought his love to a tower, a safe place, and with them were three members of the Kingsguard. They were the three most fierce, among them a distant relative of ours. When news reached them the Prince told his love he had to go. She pleaded him not to but he said it was his duty. He left and never returned, but someone else came in his place. The girls brother, a man she loved dearly, and six of his friends. The day they arrived a battle took place outside of that tower." The way he spoke made it seem like there it was happening, right in front of them, at the foot of the tower in darkness. "And it was the girl's lover who found victory, along with his best friend. But when they entered the tower the girl was dying, some say of a broken heart." He sighed deeply and smiled a sad smile. "Thus love finds it's way to a bittersweet tragedy."

Arya was sniffling by the time he was done. "That's so sad papa. It would be my dream to have a man like that."

"Perhaps your dreams will come true." Euric replied. "Barring the tragedy of course." He held his daughter lovingly.

"You found happiness, I think I will too eventually." She trailed off and held on to her father as they walked through the garden.

"Indeed; I do not think the fate of Lyanna Stark will befall you." He said finally. "It seems the tale did not yield any happy endings. Let us go home Arya."
