Ela the dragon is bleeding, and can fly no longer. She glides to a landing on the densely forested island. She crashes through the trees, and her riders tumble off. Rhae is still in great pain, but Milo manages to protect the eggs as he falls to the dirt ground.

"Milo, can you try to tend Ela's wounds?"
She started to see to her own injuries.

Milo nodded, and walking over to Rhae handed her the cloak with the eggs in it. Crawling slowly up onto the dragons back, Milo realized it was asleep. Trails of black dragon blood traced to some of the arrows, so he moved to one of these and studied it, he called down to her, "Should I start pulling them out? Will she crush me when she feels the pain?"

Rhaenys pulled the arrow out of her foot with a groan of pain. She tore strips from her tunic, mopped up the blood and then bound up the wounds.
"Well, you could move slowly and gently so that she gets accustomed to the discomfort if she wakes up. Talk to her even while she sleeps so she learns to know your voice Tell her that you are my friend and I will speak if I need to."

Milo sighed, and began to speak to the dragon, "Well great giant beastie I guess I should thank you for getting me the hell out of that Iron pronged trap. It was nice. And I in return I saved your eggs, so remember that before you decide to sup on some Milo stew. I also got a chance to desperately cling to your back, and hold the Queen down as well. That was fun. I wish you had not burnt Tailor to a crisp, he will be hard to replace. Everyone got so nervous around him, it used to make me laugh. When he first met Talyn, there was almost a battle in the keep." Milo laughed, and continued, "For the record though, do not burn me. I have drunk far too much wine in my time, and will go up like an oil rag in a pyre."
The whole time he spoke he was slowly working an arrow free from the beast. When the dragon did not react Milo stared deep into the hole left by the arrow, "Should I stuff the wound? I only have my shirt now, and I think I would quickly run out of bandage material."

Rhaenys considered.
"Use my cloak."
She took it off and handed it to him. It was black with the three-headed dragon sewn on red in the middle.
"When you've tended her could you try to find someone who can help us? I will stay here with Ela and the eggs."
She sat next to the dragon eggs, resting her hand on the nearest one while her eyes remained on the dragon.

Milo nodded and came down and took her cloak. Crawling up onto the beasts back he began to ramble on about the latest fashions in King's Landing, the proper way to milk a cow, on how properly encode a cypher into a personal letter, and how much he enjoyed dancing with the Queen at the last ball. When he was done, he had to use shirt as well, and a leg of his pants.
He walked back down, and smiled at the Queen, "Its like talking to your cousin Aegon. He never pays attention to what you say either." He turns her head slowly and examines her bruise. "I bet this fucking hurts."

"Yes, but I am used to bruises. It will heal," she said. "It doesn't matter compared to everything else. I lost the capital, Milo."
She sighed heavily.

Milo nodded, "We will take it back. They can not hold it. I am sure they were trying to grab you and the dragon, and we have countered their move, and we will make them pay."

"Yes and now we are alone. We need to find someone who can take a message to Harrenhal," Rhaenys said.

Milo nodded and slowly stood. "I will take a walk then." He hefted his mace and touched it to his temple in a salute. "Try and get some rest." He began to walk off.

Rhaenys sat against Elannyria's warm body. She held Blackfyre in her right hand while her left she placed on the nearest egg. She spoke to the dragon as she waited for Milo to return.
"Ela, dearest, I'm so glad you're with me. I think you have saved my life."

The dragon's breath was steady, and slow as it slumbered.

Rhaenys sighed and waited for Milo to come back with whoever he found to help them. She made a vow that anyone she could catch who had betrayed them would be sacrificed to birth the dragons.
