"She runs the inn... I called her Mistress Amelia" Leo answered.

Rowan steps back from ear shot from the man as Jeyne watches and motions for the Queen. He looks slightly ill at what he is about to propose though he saw no other choice.
"I am not sure if this man is telling the truth, but perhaps it will be worthwhile at least checking out some of his statements with one of your Queensguard. If it proves true then perhaps your Master of Whisperers could follow up some of the leads."
Rowan looks back at the man Jeyne captured. "Whether this man is Thatcher permenantly or just a temporary host, I think it wise to end his life and decapitate and burn the body. If we were to take him alive and Thatcher could come back who knows what damage he could do."

Rhaenys hardened her heart at the necessity but she knew Trant had the right of it.
"yes," she said. "He does not appear to be lying for all I know that Thatcher did inhabit his body, so further investigation must be held. However, you are right that he is too dangerous to live. Still, Thatcher claimed his family did well out of the deal. I only hope it it so. Help Jeyne hold him down, if you will. I think I had best do the deed myself. It is only fair."

Rowan had a hard time figuring out how the Queen decided what was fair but with night coming and the insects along the Greenblood beginning to act up he decided it best not to argue.
Making sure the man didn't have a knife or other weapon he went over and with Jeyne's help tried to knock him out or place the man in a submission choke until he passed out.

Rhaenys was glad there was not a crowd gathered before them, She was strong for a woman but knew a formal execution would be more difficult for her to perform than for a man, especially without either an axe or greatsword to hand. She waited until she hoped her companions had made the man pass out and then she looked down with fire in her eyes.
"The Northerners believe that the man who gives the sentence should swing the blade. That is why I am going to do it. it is fitting."
She drew her dagger and sliced it neatly across the man's throat in a slashing, fatal cut.

Rowan removes the head with his great sword if the dagger isn't strong enough to do so.
"Your Grace you could have used my sword, I forgot you came unarmed to the meeting," Rowan looks at the Queen's Guard. "Grab some wood for a pyre, the man must burn as well."

Jeyne went to fetch wood.
"It does not matter how he died," Rhaenys said calmly. "Only that he did. You had the right of it. That man was too dangerous to live."
OOC - no, I'm not unarmed, I have Blackfyre, but I figured cutting his throat would be easier than chopping off his head

OOC: Probably not much of a trouble with a VS sword Blackfyre is a large Greatsword right? Rowan nods, "I am sorry your grace, it had to be done there is no way of knowing how far Thatcher's black magic can reach." Rowan helps Jeyne place the wood around the body and then when a sufficient amount has been collected to incinerate the body the pyre is lit.

OOC - longsword. Someone said before that they figured a longsword might not do the job
Rhaenys looked into the fire wit ha sense of calm pleasure. Dangerous though fire was she liked to watch the flames dan cing.
"Yes," she said. "I ahve no regrets on the matter. I did what I had to, that's all. I do not believe that Thatcher's spirit died though. That is a bigger problem to deal with."

Rowan said nothing, he felt sorry for the man and for his master Ser Nathan, he could not recall the man but he wondered if their situations had been reversed if he would of had the stomach to kill him?
"Indeed," Rowan said finally tearing his eyes from the pyre and looking at the Queen. "Is there anything else we have to do?" he asked not knowing what Thatcher had told her and if it even was true.

"Nothing. Would that I could tell Prince Aldric that his sister is safe but I begin to doubt Thatcher's honesty more than ever now. We will jsut have to wait and see if she is returned to us."

Rowan shrugged, "its hard to say your grace, who knows if the princess was ever alive in the first place.

"yes, that is the trouble," Rhaenys sighed.
She wondered if Thatcher had stitched her up completely.

"Yes," she said.
There was no joy in her tone though and it was plain that she was not feelign well.
