"Thatcher is not hte kind of man who will offer something without something in return. If he wants to talk to me I must allow him to do so. I doubt he will actually harm me."

"Did he ask for you in person your Grace?" Rowan says scratching his head, "my understanding was such that he asked only for gold and dragon eggs, meeting with you I do not remember being something that he had asked for."

"No, he didn't ask for me but we negotiated privately last time and he may wish to do so again. I am inclined to agree, for reasons I cannot discuss."

"Well then perhaps we had better wait for Thatcher to provide more instructions, I doubt he will meet here and its hard to plan without knowing what the situation will be. As your council though, I would argue strongly against a private meeting with the mad man, your safety is too important your Grace," Rowan said resigning that the Queen had probably already made up her mind.

"Lord Trant, you're just going to have to trust me," she said. "I know the man and a public meeting would be far too dangerous."

Some time later, Rhaenys recveived a message that Thatcher had sent one of his people to meet with her. She asked for a priavte room. Sme time later she emerged from the room and went to speak breifly to Lord Trant.
"I am going to have a private meeting with Thatcher," she said. "It will be in an abandoned manse this side of the Greenblood."

"Your committed to this course of action?" Rowan said looking into his queen's eyes.

"Yes. There is no other way. I would like to take the man prisoner but we do not know how many men he has and his agent will not permit me to travel in company. I must trust that he does not wish me dead. It's unlikely."
She sounded nervous but determined and there was a light in her eye that Trant had not seen before.

"He gave you proof that Aurora was still alive?" Rowan asks still wary. "I know you are fond of her but the kingdom won't fail if she is lost, but if something were to happen to you" Rowan trailed off shaking his head and making the sign of the seven pointed star across his chest.
"Does Thatcher know now that we don't have the Dragon Eggs or the Gold?"

"No," she said. "Ther is no proof that Aurora lives but I will take his word for it, for now. I will ask for proof when I meet Thatcher. I dont know if Thatcher knows we don't have the dragon eggs or gold. He must be thinking one of two things, either we have them and will hand them over, or that we have no intention of doing so and are here to find a different answer to the situation. ~~Anyway, my lord, I have made up my mind. It's the only possible answer."

"Do you know the location of the manor house now and when the meeting will take place? His emissary said you could not travel with someone but perhaps we could find a place to watch the manor beforehand and then when you are safely out we could spring the trap or capture Thatcher as he leaves the manor?"

"Sorry, I don;t know. The man is goign to take me to it. All I know is that it is along the Greenblood. This side."

"Well shit that only includes half of Dorne," Rowan sighs. "Can you send a Queen's Guard to follow behind? Perhaps leave a trail for us to follow?"

Rhaenys shook her head.
"Thatcher will only meet me if I have no-one following me. It seems he plans to wait and check so anyone who follows must be slow. I will leave a trail though. You could have someone track me but not immediately."

Rowan nods, "as you leave the manse you should try and signal us if you want the capture to go forward, stretch your hands high above your head forming an X if for some reason we should withdrawal."

"It will be done," Rhaenys agreed. "Thank you, Lord Trant. I know that you cannot udnerstand my reasons but it must be this way, for all our sakes."
