"My mother would not hide three without telling her daughters, and I know my sisters would have told me if they knew about it. No, Prince Aldric, I think your people have mislaid them. How, I don't know, but it is the only possible answer, Rhaenys insisted.

Rowan coughed, "Your Grace, regardless of what transpired we still have the very real problem that Thaddeus Thatcher is coming here to negotiate for the life of Princess Aurora Martell and at we have the very real intention of wanting her returned a live but have no intention of paying the gold and don't have the Dragon Eggs," Rowan huffs a bit.
"Your going to try and negotiate with a mad man with the full capability of killing Princess Aurora, without any bargaining chips. If we want to have any hope of this exchange not ending in disaster we need a plan either how to negotiate or how to capture this cretin. . . a very good plan. . ." Rowan's voice trailed off.

"I agree. It may be that he and I can come to an arrangement between ourselves but yes, it would be good for you and I - and Prince Aldric - to discuss the situation first so that I have a starting point. So...the question is, do we have anything that Thatcher might accept in lieu of dragon eggs or gold?"

"Well I guess we have to start by asking what is Thatcher's objective?" Rowan licks his lips the dry air sucking the moisture from them, "does he wish a return to power? Is he thirsty for revenge? Or is his simply desire to leave the land a smoldering fiery ruin? He surrendered once, what was his motivation then?" Rowan says looking at the Queen.

Aldric snarled, "Fiery ruin. He has no purpose but madness."

Rowan looked towards Aldric after his comment, "I tend to agree with the Prince, the man allowed himself to be executed only to rise from the grave, I cannot see negotiations having any purpose other then to stall for time in hopes of finding Aurora, a prospect which seems dim given some of the best people in the Kingdom have been investigating the matter with no sign of her."

"Well, we msut at least pretend to negotiate," Rhaenys said. "Otherewise nothing is ever going to get done. We might meet with him and then take him prisoner and execute him. If I refuse to meet him we might as well forget about Aurora."

"Your Grace, we should decide now whether you intend to negotiate or take him prisoner, although I think either plan is rife with peril as we have no intention of giving him what he wants and I some how doubt that Thatcher will just walk in here and let us take him," Rowan sighs.
"I dare say that even meeting with him is dangerous as it may place you in a position where your inclined to compromise for a terrible deal or give him an opportunity to cause the nation great harm by wounding you."

"It will be impossible to take him prisoner if I do not let him believe I wish to negotiate first," Rhaenys said. "I want the man dead, there is no doubt of it, but I do know that is not an easy thing to achieve. At least permanently. I think we must play along with him, at least to begin with,"

"As you wish your Grace but if you play with fire you have better prepare to be burnt and a fire as hot as Thatcher could burn into a conflagration that even your Grace won't be able to contain."

"Oh, I know," said Rhaenys. "We will never find the bastard if we simply run around with armed men, though. We must be cautious and sly, like him."

"Then what the hell am I supposed to do?" Rhaenys snapped. "If we do nothing your sister is as good as dead and we are all doomed."

Aldric smiled wickedly, "I have some ideas. But you may succeed. It is possible."

"And you could risk your life your Grace with the possibility that Aurora is already dead. You should not negotiate with Thatcher until he shows proof that Aurora is in fact alive and in his possession. Dorne will survive without Aurora but this kingdom will fall into madness without a legitimate ruler to guide it. Your son may stand in line to inherit but your position is not so strong as to guarantee their sucession."
