A party of twenty men-at-arms and five knights rides up to the gates of Starfall. Leading them is a knight in the colours of House Grandison.
"Open in the name of the Queen!"

"Fetch your lord, and quick about it. I bring a message from the Queen."

The guard starred coldly at the man, then nodded. He walked off very slowly.

Soon a young, thin lad accompanied by a wizened older woman arrive in the courtyard. The lad stared at the Grandison with open scorn.
