The Red Keep stands proud over the city of King's Landing.
Callen and his party trotted over the open gates of the castle and rode into the courtyard. The king dismounted and handed the reigns to Jeor, who he had taken on as his squire. He immediatly made for the Throne Room. When he entered he found a few of the small coucnil members standing near the base of the throne, quietly chatting among themselves.

They fell to one knee. Callen shook his head. "Come on get up. Tell about the fallen stars.@

Tallahar stands and walks over to the King he bows then grasps the older man in a hug, "It is good to see you Your Grace."

Horas rises smoothly and faces Callen, his manner immediately businesslike.
"The damage to the city itself was minimal, but the city watch has increased its patrols just to be sure. The real damage occurred in Dorne, the Stormlands, and the Reach, as I understand it. Certain bands of healers have set out to help the refugees as they can; your brother, the Lord Andry, has also offered aid to the smallfolk. The great castle of Storm's End may be irreparably damaged."

Callen sighed. "My family's ancestral home...no matter, stone can be repaired in time. The living are our first priority. I assume measures have already been taken?"

"Yes Uplands has pledge its support to your brother and Lady Lilith. Plus my Reach men have been helping to keep order." Tallahar is still grinning.

OOC: Aren't your sons the princes now? And Andry is the lord of Storm's End, I thought.
"Of course," Horas says. "I understand a certain Lord Varner of the Reach slew several refugees that wandered onto his land. Anselm Flowers of the Kingsguard saw fit to bring him before Lord Tyrell for judgement. Things have proceeded relatively smoothly apart from that case, however. Lilith Bettley's healer's band has been particularly helpful, as has Lord Tallahar's generous opening of his keep's granary to help feed the refugees." Horas inclines his head towards the Master of Laws.

OOC: The only reason Renly and Steffon were lords instead of princes was because their father wasn't king. If you've read the Hedge Knight it says that the heir apparent Baelor's brother, Maekar was a prince, the same with Maekar's sons, even though they were the sons of the second born child.
IC: Callen nodded. "Good, send my thanks to the Tyrells for their assassitance. And my brother as well. I may even have a solution to the problem of housing the refugees. Lord Commander Mudd needs families to populate the Gift."

"It is the least I could do Lord Horas Uplands has grown rich from trade and we always have to much grain." Tallahar says this in a very matter of fact way.

Horas nods at Callen, "That strikes me as a very elegant solution, your Grace. Taking care of two problems at once."
Horas then looks at Tallahar, "That may be so, Warden, but it is generous nonetheless. I do not think any other keeps have open thrown the doors to their granaries as you have."
