Talyn bite his tongue, and waited to see how Trant handled this.

Rowan laughed, "the Queen heard of your Lord's men marching towards the coronation and some of her most loyal lords, got concerned that you might be planning a coup. . . imagine that," Rowan shook his head if shocked himself.

"Anyways somewhere in the Red Keep someone heard some oft hand remark and then suddenly everyone was raising armies, when the only real trouble was a simple misunderstanding of the law."

Talyn bite his tongue harder in an effort to avoid strangling that little stormland liar right then and there.

[The Smith]

"And the proper response was to call up 18,000 in the Far Reach, and 15,000 in the Mander. And have Lord Thatcher here send out a letter formenting dissent amongst the bannermen of Lord Frey." Lannister asked, "If I let Victor know of Talyn's presence here he is going to insist on arresting him, and most likely executing him."

[The Flint]

Talyn snorted at the idea of that, "Stop playing games Lord Lannister, you know full well you were headed to King's Landing in contravention of the law. Trant is trying to play pretend so that we can all go on acting like you don't have treason in your heart."

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"Like I said, it was a misunderstanding, the Master of Laws should have simply explained that while each Lord is entitled to 100 men near the capital if a Liege Lord orders his bannermen to bring 100 that is illegal."

"Regardless, the queen says all will be forgiven if you reduce your army and join her at Kings Landing for a peaceful coronation, in full compliance of her laws. She has even considered your suggestion about her Lord Hand," Rowan said hoping to change the subject.

[The Smith]

"We were of course, but we were going to leave the bulk of our men outside the city." Lannister replied, "There has been mistrust on both sides, and I wanted some security close by. I think from the reaction it was clear that I was right to be cautious."

[The Flint]

"Outside or inside the city, men in excess of one hundred, either under personal command, or by proxy is illegal, as you well know. You have, by my count, 8,000 men here. That's an army, and you know it!" Talyn fumed, crossing his arms over his chest, before giving Trant a look that says "get fucking on with it."

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"Regardless of what transpired their is no reason for Westeros to be torn apart after most of the people in this room had spent the better part of a decade trying to put it back together."

[The Smith]

"Does she really intend to tell every Lord they are not allowed to raise more then a hundred men with out her personal approval. It is a bizarre and unwieldy law." Lannister turned to look at Trant, "Oh I doubt I will be attending her coronation, or going any where near King's Landing. There is too much danger involved. I would rather just go home, and start the rebuilding of my lands. Who has she chosen as her new Lord Hand."

Talyn said nothing, but concentrated on trying to set Lannister on fire with his stare.

Rowan nodded ignoring Lannister's comment in respect to the merit of the law, "After considering your advice in the Vale and the advice of her small council she has named Lord Bryden's nephew, Lord Eustace Baratheon as her new Hand, and while a vigorous debate took place it was decided that Dragon and Stag would indeed work together to rebuild this Kingdom."

[The Smith]

Lannister nodded, "Quite good. Thank you for coming to see us."

[The Flint]

"He's not finished with you yet." Talyn said, through gritted teeth.

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"There is a couple of other matters that need to be addressed, there are some on the Small Council that think you should be included among them, while the position has not been set, I think that your talents would be quite useful to oversee the Kingdom's reconstruction. . . it seems that it is an issue you have a deep seated interest in and while the Queen felt that you would most likely refuse, I was told to gauge your interest anyways," Rowan said looking around for the wine that was supposed to be coming.
