"Garner. Wesley Garner, I squire for Ser Podrick. He ordered me to bring this to you, and to present it to Lord Royce." The boy put the heavy item down, and it gave off a metallic clink.

The boy seemed confused. "um... the Lady Royce's son. Whichever one that is."

"They tell it true. Ser Podrick told me to come here, and to deliver this to you." The boy eyed the wolfhounds and their handlers nervously.

Inside was a shiny steel plate cuirass of high quality construction and polished to an almost blinding brilliance. Etched into the front was a picture of a grove of trees, and two frolicking stallions. Both the groove and the stallions were black, and a cursory examination indicated the color had been added right into the metal, rather than painted on, as was customary among cheaper pieces. The brest plate had clearly cost a small fortune.
"Ser Podrick's gift to you milord, in recompense for Ser Allain and your Lady mother," the boy said, montone, as he stared at a place just above Brynden's head. as if he is trying to remember the words.

"He will be pleased to know it. Thank you Lord Royce." The boy said, bowing politely, and backing away from the dogs.

"Oh? Who do you serve milord?" The boy asked, his ears perking up a little bit, glad that the subject had been changed.

"Lord Benfry's skill with lance and blade is well known milord, you could scarce do better. I've served Ser Podrick for two years, and I feel like I've learned a lot."

"No milord. i do not have my spurs, I did not think they allowed squires to compete. But then, I am not a lord either, milord. Ser Podrick will be in the melee, so I suppose I will be with him, if he should fall, I will need to take him off the field."

Wesley shrugged. "I am sure you will do very well milord. I fear I would simply embarrass myself, so I will wait till I am older."

"As you wish. Good day, Wesley." Brynden nodded to him.

Darien is escorted to his sisters chambers. A group of guards waits for him outside of the room and will rejoin him upon his exit.
"Good evening, Aranya." Darien says, finding a chair and, after moving it closer to the bed, sitting on it. "How is the arm doing?"

Darien nodded in ernest before giving a little smile. "Be glad it wasn't your life he took." Darien looked around the room for a moment before remembering what he had come here for. "Sister, I have not yet heard of your recent doings in the east. How did that all go, if I may ask?" Darien had noticed something about his sister... there was a darker aspect to her now in comparison to the last time he had seen her.

Looking up from the book he had found about sailing, Darien calls "Enter." He puts the book down and sits up.
