"I know," Rhaenys said ruefully. "My apologies, I thought you referred to a specific incident, or worse, meant to slight me. Trouble is, I have no choice but to trust them, or to let them think that I do. Most of my friends are exiles like me, so they will have only the power I can give them. But still, I don't want you to find yourself in a difficult situation. So tell me, where are you expecting to find men for your force? Do you want some of mine or Selwyn's men, or were you hoping for some of the Mander men?"

"The former would be more appropriate, I believe." Euric answered.

"I could do that," Rhaenys said at last. "Take Borcas Redwyne with you. He commands my men in the absence of Saenarys. That's three hundred. How many more do you want?"

"And give me command over men that are used to his command?" Euric asked. "Surely it'll also take a toll on Redwyne's loyalty."

"I'd like to say the former but sometimes I think I must be the latter, to deal with the matters I must deal with every day of my life," Rhaenys said. "Perhaps you too will understand, one day. Or do you mean to leave all matters of ruling the Iron Islands to your husband?" "Now what type of woman would I be if I let the man handle everything?" ganieda asked with a smile.

He had a point. Rhaenys sighed. She'd only thought of Borcas becasue the dragon men were her own.
"Fine, Euric, which region's men will you ask for?"

Rhaenys smiled at Ganieda.
"Not the sort of woman I thought you, truly."

Ganieda laughed.
"And its not like your showing any other woman up or anything." She said, indicating the crown that the Queen had.

"That depends on the amount of Cultists located at the keep."

"I don't think the garrisons are particularly large, but I'd recommend taking perhaps a thousand men," Rhaenys said. "You can ask for more if you need them. Ask Lord Selwyn. He'll know who best to send."

Ganieda laughed. "And its not like your showing any other woman up or anything." She said, indicating the crown that the Queen had. "I am one of a kind, to be sure," Rhaenys answered. "You know, I like you, Lady Greyjoy. How do you feel about spending part of your time at my court, even when the realm is settled?"

She looked a little surprised for a moment.
"I dont think that your 'normal' court would be too pleased about an Iron Born, and a former Bastard one at that spending too much time with you Your Grace, much as I would like."

"I don't care what the court thinks," Rhaenys siad. "It is for me to say who is welcome and who is not."

Ganieda smiled gracefully.
"Then my Queen it would be my honor to be with you."

Rhaenys smiled.
"Then you must always consider yourself welcome at my hearth. I understand that you will want to spend time at home with your husband and your people, and. eventually, with your children, but it would please me to have your company now and then. You are a welcome change from the usual courtiers and I know I cannot rely upon my old friends to keep me company all the time."

"Hopefully it will not be long before I am with child. I wouldnt want to... disappoint my Lord Husband. And what is a friend if they are not there for you, as a person, not just as a Queen."
