Lord Bolton has advanced to Moat Cailin but he is stopped just out of bow range. He deploys his men and awaits command.

Selwyn arrived and talked to Lord Bolton. Then he sent for the Queen.

She kept him waiting slightly longer than necessary, determined that no man would send for her. When she came she was garbed as a warrior in mail and plate and wool, the sword Blackfyre at her side and a gold circlet on her head in place of a helm.
"Lord Selwyn," she said calmly. "What is it?"

"They want to negotiate, but they will only trust Tyberion Lannister." Selwyn replied.
Bolton nodded, "They fire arrows at everyone who approaches. They claim they will talk to Lannister."

She frowned.
"If they trust Lannister, that probably means that we cannot. Especially as he was the one who let Marbrand go without asking permission. Could we have someone we do trust go along with Lord Lannister, to keep an eye on him?"

Selwyn shook his head, "We need not. Just do not give him authority to make a deal. We will use him as a raven. Shuttling back and forth with each turn of negotiation. All we would be risking is him."

"Interesting, and a good way to learn if he is trustworthy or not, but there is a flaw," Rhaenys pointed out. "How can we be sure he is giving us or them the right words if we send no man with him?"

"For Lannister to claim false words could only mean he wants us to fight." Selwyn replied, "I can not see how that serves him."

Her eyes bore into him, showing a hint of anxiety.
"Nor I, but my point is that we would not know either way. Send him alone, if you think it necessary, but I would rather err on the side of caution. There aren't many people I trust, Selwyn, not after all that has happened in the North. I am not willing to take more chances than we must."

Selwyn shrugged, "I will send some one you trust then. Who?"

She thought for a long moment.
"Can we guarantee that they won't shoot down whoever it is? I don't want to send any man to his death."

Selwyn glanced at Bolton before replying, "No we can not."

That made her more unhappy than ever but then she saw the man who'd claimed only to want immortality and refused all other possible rewards.
"Him," she said, indicating Morrigen to Selwyn. "I don't trust him, exactly, but he's involved in this thing and he claims to have no ambitions save to be famous. Send him."

Lord Tyberion hobbled into the camp. Nodding at Lord Bolton, he turned to the Lord Hand, "I was summoned? What do you need, Selwyn?"
Selwyn replied, "We need you to act as a negotiator with Lord Frey, and Reed. They asked for you."
Tyberion looked at the keep and nodded his head, "I suppose I should hear their terms first."
Selwyn nodded.

Rhaenys looked at Lord Lannister.
"You're to take that man with you, if he is willing," she said, indicating Morrigen. And I warn you, play us false and you will pay."
