Lord Lannister and Lady Stark await their new queen in the great hall with only a token guard for each of them.

The queen arrived, surrounded by her entourage. She was dressed in black leather and mail. Her cloak was black to, with the red three-headed dragon of her house sewn onto it. She caried the sword Blackfyre at her side and waited for her hosts to speak first.

Lady Stark takes a knee immediately, and says, "My Queen."
Lord Lannister simply sits an points at his missing leg, "I am sorry, my Queen, but kneeling for me has become an almost impossible act." He smiled at her warmly.

Rhaenys smiled back at Lord Lannister.
"I understand, my lord," she said, then turned to the girl, "Rise, Lady Stark."
She herself offered a hand and sized the pair up with interest.
"How are matters here at Winterfell?"

Lady Beatrice Stark was tall for a girl of thirteen, and almost pretty in that Stark way.
Tyberion looked like an aging Corsair. His blond hair was streaked with gray, but his body still seemed quite powerful. He was handsome in the Lannister fashion.
Tyberion spoke first, "They are steady, and will continue so as you stabilize the realm. I hear many things of your trip North, and that my son is betrothed to one of your sisters. This is quite exciting news." He smiled and bowed his head deeply.

Anxiety flashed through the queen's eyes.
"Lord Lannnister, there is no official betrothal, unfortunately. Kyma has been...difficult, though I made it clear to her that your son was a most suitable consort for a princess. I will do all I can to see that the marriage goes ahead, but you should be aware that it may not."
She didn't know what she'd do when she eventually found Kyma. It was against her nature to enforce the marriage but she'd look weak if she did nothing.

"Your Grace you plan to marry Selwin who represents the Stormlands, and another sister to Martell." Tyberion's mouth sneered as he said the name, "Are the Westerlands to be insulted so. I thought after we removed Thatcher we would return to our place of honor as deserved."

"So you shall," Rhaenys promised. "But my sister has run away, the silly girl, and all because I did my duty as a queen and told her that I wished her to marry your son. I well know that marriage pacts are what princesses are for, and so should Kyma, but she is headstrong. She may be hiding in the hopes I'll change my mind and have your son marry another woman. But I do wish her to marry Ser Owen, I promise you that."

Tyberion frowned and struggled to his feet. Beatrice cast a dark look the Queen and helped Lord Lannister to his feet. As he rose he replied, "I will return to Casterly Rock then. It is good to have already been taught my place by my new ruler. I will remember this treatment, your grace."

Rhaenys frowned.
"My lord, I have offered you no insult or injury, have offered your son a betrothal to my sister, which you first seemed pleased about. It is...unfortunate that my sister fled, but it is she who insulted House Lannister, not I. Had I guessed that she would flee Castle Black after we quarrelled over the matter, you may be sure I would have kept her under close guard. Alas, I trusted my sister to think of her duty. You may be sure that I will insist she obey my wishes in future, once she is safely restored to us."

Tyberion waved that away, "Are you not the leader of your house? If my son insulted your house it would be just as much my fault as his. As far as I am concerned House Targaryen is insulting House Lannister." He frowned, "The West is always treated shabbily, mistrusted, and outright attacked. I had thought it may be different under Targaryen leaders."

His anger kindled her own. Damn Kyma for putting me in such a difficult position.
"You were right, my lord. I have no reason to see any house in this realm be treated as less than any other. If any man has offered insult to House Lannister, pray tell me his name and house. I cannot answer for any man's conduct during Baratheon rule but I have pledged myself to drive the cult out of Westeros and to keep the peace. I give you my word that any man or woman who is offered insult by another may come to me or those who represent me and his case shall be fairly examined."
She stopped and took a breath, her green eyes blazing.
"As for my sister, when we find her, she will marry Owen. You have my word."

Lannister thought a long moment. "Will you write that down?" His face concealed his true thoughts, "Don't you have another sister?"

"Yes, two. Liliyana and Alysanne," she said. "What of them?"
