Dyther looks about, annoyed his quest for women and revenge has been interrupted for a feast and back-patting. No use in congratulations until the job was done.

Aegon Targaryen, dressed in his customary black, has arrived late for the feast. He is attended only by his squire Valarr.

Alysanne sipped her wine and casually leaned a little closer to Rhaenys. "Tell me you have something planned for her, sister," she said, looking at Ariel. The princess then noticed Ser Euric laughing there with her and couldn't help but to sneer.

Ariel chuckled. "First, naming my ancestors is the same as claiming the throne to anyone who can read a family tree, Ser Euric. Second, the results were more or less as I planned, and actually a bit better. I didn't expect to gain the full support of the assembled lords with dragons watching." "The results? Surely, you aren't telling me you plan to continue your opposition to Queen Rhaenys?" He was still smiling, but his eyes turned fierce.

After talking to Edmure, Halliron made his way over to the queen. He was suprised to see Ser Mearn standing there clad in white.
'How quickly the worlds moves these days' his own voice said in his head.

Talyn nodded respectfully at Warren Marbrand. The word around the campfire was that he'd been elevated to some high position. Good for him.

Maekar beckoned Aegon over to him.
"Come sit with me, cousin. I wish to speak with you."

Rhaenys was looking at Ariel and Euric too. She had faith in her Queen's Justice and hoped he was trying to make Ariel betray herself. She turned to Alysanne with a bright, false smile.
"Perhaps I do, little sister, though this is no place to speak of such things. No-one will take our birthright from us while I yet live, I promise you that."

"That's all I wanted to know, Your Grace," she offered her a half-smile and turned back to her wine.

Whiskey is poured and drank, poured and drank, poured and drank, until Dyther feels the eternal cold of the North fading from his bones, replaced by the heat of spirits. He starts singing a somewhat bawdy song involving a snow queen and her seven dwarfs.

Rhaenys winced at the man's song. This was no place for lewd songs.
"Such insolence," she sighed. "That man needs to sober up."
She turned away, back to her sister.
"Alysanne, I need to talk...." She began, but then Halliron's eye caught hers. "One moment, sister, Good ser, what can I do for you?"

"I just wanted to present myself, Your Grace. I am Lord Halliron Oakheart"

She looked him over, having noted before that Lord Oakheart had not been present to kneel to her. She wondered at the cause for the tardiness. Perhaps he hadn't trusted her, or had there been another reason?
"I am pleased to find that House Oakheart not neglect its duty," she said warily. "Do you bring me men?"

Ser Joseff sat at one of the tables and quietly drank his wine, glancing at the dais from time to time.

Talyn returned to his company, where the others were busy using charcoal from the fire to write on "Quick" Jax's forehead.
"knock that off!" he said gruffly, before sitting down next to a quiet-looking knight at an empty table.
"Pass that mutton leg would you?" He says to the man, gesturing with his off hand at an untouched piece of meat on a nearby platter.

"Not more men than survived the Last Battle, Your Grace. I am sorry if I was not able to attend your council, but I was going in and out of sleep during the time, thankfully the fever has gone down now."
