"Because she has not only refused to kneel but also denies Rhaenys right to rule. Saying that her blood is more worthy of queen. I would not trust that one."

"She mentioned something like that when I woke up after the battle, she has treated me with nothing but kindness, and I owe her my life so there is more than meets the eye I think, but I hear what you are saying, you have spoken to her more than I have."

Edmure looked at Halliron, "Of course she would treat you with respect you are a Lord Paramount of a region a powerful Lord. What better way to gain an ally."

"Well, I am in debt to her anyhow. She save my life. I will not commit treason for that debt, but I will not speak ill of her either."

Ser Mearn spotted Lord Oakheart and his face lit up to see that the Oakline was still alive and well. He wanted to go over to Halliron and speak with him, but he was on duty so he couldn't.

Ser Euric smiles at Ariel and beckons her toward him. "Milady, you look a little lost."

Ariel turned to Ser Euric and chuckled lightly before stepping toward the man. "Lost?" she asked with a slightly confused smile. "Not really, but I thank you for the thought, ser."

Ariel grinned and sat down, taking her own cup and sipping. "Well, I suppose that obliges me to continue in my tradition of perversity and discourse with you instead. You would be Ser Euric Dayne, the Sword of the Morning?" she asked.

"That would be me, yes." He quirked an eyebrow as he looked at her. "And from what I hear, you are the woman that everyone seems to think is challenging my Queen's right to rule? Awful things one hears through the grapevine." He poured both of them a cup of wine.

Ariel nodded. "That would be me, yes," she said. "And the grapevine speaks more or less the truth this time; I asserted my own claim to the throne in Council."

"What an unfortunate position to be in." Euric commented, taking a healthy sip from his wine. "Or rather, to have been in. Surely you see that there is no use in reasserting such a claim?"

Ariel shrugged. "Not really. Simply put, I'm tired of lying about who I am. I'm not going to pretend to be Ariel Wyl anymore. Besides, you have no idea how much the dye makes my scalp itch."

Ariel chuckled. "First, naming my ancestors is the same as claiming the throne to anyone who can read a family tree, Ser Euric. Second, the results were more or less as I planned, and actually a bit better. I didn't expect to gain the full support of the assembled lords with dragons watching."
