Talyn nodded, "Your commander does not keep such a tally? Gods know I do. It's been the bane of me for years now. Every name scratched out."

"I guess not every commander is strong enough to keep such a listen. To have to cross off the names cannot be easy." He finally found another cup, drank it and stood. "It has been a pleasure conversing with you amongst this ruckus, Ser Talyn. I hope we'll see each other at Winterfell." With that he bowed dramatically and exited.

"By acting like drunk fools at a feast that is meant to celebrate our victory over the Other's?" Euric asked, his eyes wide with disbelief. Maekar realised that he was perhaps a little drunk himself. "You know that wasn't my intention but matters got out of hand . I am overzealous sometimes, I know, but only because I love my cousins well."

"I'm sure we will ser. Feast well." Talyn tipped his cup respectfully, and went back to overseeing his men, cursing those who were overly drunk with the promise of training on the morrow.

"I understand you." Euric replied, his mood calming. "But we always need to remember that however we act, it will unwillingly represent the Queen."

From a distance, Aegon watched the exchange between Ser Maekar and the two commanders carefully. Satisfied that Maekar would not disgrace the honor of House Targaryen again, he continued to move around the feast greeting guests and jesting with men he had fought with and respected.

"Yes, you're right of course, but it's easier said than done. Damned if I know what my role is any more, now we've a Queensguard."
He sighed.
"Keeping Rhaenys safe has been my life."

Ariel watched the exchange between Halliron and Rhaenys with a bright grin on her face, a grin that widened when Rhaenys said she should have been told. As Halliron left, she spoke, to no one in particular. "And who would have told her about him, I wonder?"
As the commotion around Maekar broke loose, she turned back to speak to him. "Cousin, surely a woman who would be Queen can handle men getting a bit drunk at a celebration. For nearly all our men, women have been at best but a fantasy for years on end. Even those of us who are present are nearly all inaccessible for one reason or another, whether royal blood or merely disinterest. Leave the men to their songs."
Finally, she glanced back at Euric with a shrug. "You weren't there at the Council, so I'll repeat what I said there. I refuse to press my claim while the Realm is beset by foemen, but I also refuse to renounce it, and I refuse to challenge by dishonorable means. If that means I must one day bend the knee, so be it. This is not that day." She smiled. "Besides, Rhaenys wouldn't believe a word of it if I did. And finally, the throne is not my only objective."

Obvlivious to the others at the party, the Greyjoy entourage begins a slow beat on their table, while Ragnor and his captain, Sargon, climb atop it. Both have axes in their hands, and begin tossing them back and forth as Ragnor starts to sing.
"The bottle, oh, the bottle oh, The sailor loves the bottle, oh, So early in the morning The sailor loves the bottle oh. A bottle of brandy, Bottle of gin, A bottle of Northern whisky, oh! So early in the morning The sailor loves his bottle, oh!"
Those still seated wave at Drumm and his men, calling them over to witness the sport. Coins begin flying down on the table, betting on one or the other.

Ragnor flinches when the axe buries itself in Sargon's hand, and those at the table rush to help him.
"Well, at least it's only his left hand." Ragnor says with a grin as he hops off the table and grabs a new drink.

"By your leave," the princess said and walked out of the doors.
The cold fresh air cleared her head a bit. She saw Ser Gerald sitting on a nearby bench, wrapped tightly in his sand-coloured cloak, drinking something from a flagon. Alysanne sat next to him. "I'm to marry," she said. He offered him his flagon, wordless. She drank. Whatever was inside it, it was spicy and burned. Gerald shared his cloak with her, Alysanne rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Euric favoured Ariel with a sad smile. "No matter what your objective is, if the day comes that Westeros is at peace and you decide to challenge my Queen I will be waiting for you."

Lord Marbrand strides into the feasting hall with the imperiously tall Ser Rolfe Spicer at his side, half-bent over so that he and Warren may bandy words. The former wears an impressively posh black velvet jacket fastened with ivory white buttons enameled in crimson, while the latter simply wears a suit of boiled leathers and green linens. As the mis-matched pair enter, Warren makes a point to direct a polite nod to anyone who makes eye-contact, most notably including Talyn Thatcher, Owen Lannister, and Theodore Drumm. Ser Rolfe smiles at most everyone and even offers a friendly wave to a few. He nods back and walks over to the man,"I heard you had a couple words with my brother, I'm sorry to here that."

Warren peered at the Drumm. "Your... brother. Oh, yes. Of course, I remember," the newly made Master of Whispers nodded. "Delightful man. Do give him my regards?"
