"House Oakheart has ever been faithful to the Iron Throne, and we don't intend to stop now, Your Grace. So I swear fealty to you and hope that House Oakheart can continue to serve Westeros like before." "I appreciate your service. Is there anything else you need? For example, are you fully recovered from your ills?"

"I am just tired, Your Grace. A few night's of sleep and I will be fine, your cousin is quite the healer."
He knew that it might be dangerous to mention who had saved him, but he felt that he at least owed Ariel the courtesy to let the queen know that she had been the one to save his life.

"My father was just another nobody. A merchant, to be precise. He had issues so I ran off," he decided not to mention the gold he had taken. "I was born in Far Reach." Not wanting to talk about his childhood, he asked about Talyn's past.

Talyn hadn't heard of merchants recognizing their bastards, but that was neither here nor there.
"My Father was Master of Whisperers, and later hand. I grew up in the Red Keep. We did not get along, I suppose I am more my mother's son."

He knew that it might be dangerous to mention who had saved him, but he felt that he at least owed Ariel the courtesy to let the queen know that she had been the one to save his life. "My cousin?" She repeated. "I have only two cousins and I know Maekar is no healer so you must be speaking of Ariel." Rhaenys fought to control her temper. There was no point getting angry now when she would only shame herself. "I am very grateful that Lady Ariel saved your life," she said. "You and I must speak again soon, when you are better rested."

Ser Joseff suddenly felt uneasy from all the wine he'd drank. "If you'll excuse me, ser," he said before leaving the table. One last look at her bored princess and he started to walk out unsteadily, to get some air.

"Yes, that was her name, Your Grace. "
He bowed slightly.
"Yes, Your Grace. Send for me when I have rested fully, with your permission I ask to be excused."

I hope she hasn't got her vicious little claws in your heart. But despite her words Rhaenys managed to smile for Lord Oakheart,
"Good evening then, and I wish you a pleasant night."
She waved him off and smiled at her sister.
"A pleasant man, don't you think, Alysanne?"

"What? Oh yes. He seemed quite sincere," Alysanne said rather indifferently, looking at the dancers, obviously thinking about something else.

"I'm glad of it. A man of less character would surely be a dangerr too us now that he has met Ariel. But enough about her, I did have something I wanted to discuss.
She smiled at her younger sister.
"I know you are wary of marriage, Alysanne, but you are a princess and sister to a queen. It must be considered, for the good of the realm, and to gain us allies. Do you truly object?"

She sighed. "If there's no other way around it." Alysanne looked into her sister's eyes. "Who do you have in mind?"

Rhaenys couldn't help smiling. She had a feeling Alysanne would be less anxious when she knew what her elder sister had in mind.
"I know that you are worried about entering the married state so I would have you marry a man you already know, whose loyalty is proven. You have a special fondness for Ser Euric Dayne, I believe?"

Meanwhile, Maekar noted that the drunken knight was still singing.
"Excuse me, cousin," he said to Aegon. "That man must be dealt with."
He got up and walked over to Morrigen, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Outside, now. You're disturbing the noble guests."

"I'm a noble guest, thank you kindly. Not.....a DRAGON, but unpaw me." Dyther looked annoyed that his serenading had gone unappreciated.

Alysanne was taken aback by that. She didn't answer instantly but her light blush probably gave her away. It seemed a bit suspicious though. "What allies would that gain us?"
