"I am," Rhaenys confirmed. "Once you have proved yourself loyal to me as well as to my late mother. Unless there is some other gift you would prefer instead?" "Well, as it happens, My Queen, I have my bloodriders. I guess it's a bit odd to offer me the three Gifts. I am your loyal man, as I would be to a Khal, and if you do not betray me, I will live and die as your man."

"I've no intention of betraying you," Rhaenys promised. "I will be loyal to those who are loyal to me. I do, however, believe in rewarding loyalty. It sets a good example and it raises morale. But, if you do not want the whip and bow and arakh, I will not press them on you."

After hearing that Selwyn had bent the knee, Theodore waited for most of the people talking to the Queen to leave. Eventually he lumbered up with his brother Anthony and nodded at the Rhaenys."After I heard that Selwyn bent the knee, I thought it smart to come and talk to you." He made no motion to kneel, just sat there towering over the lady, waiting for her to say something back.

A ghost entered the tent.
"Sister!" Saenarys said, blood spattered and worn, a voice full of worry and emotion. "You are well?"
His greatsword was at his side, his hand atop the pommel, trembling.

Rhaenys was considering Drumm's words when her brother arrived. She turned and smiled at Saenerys.
"I'm fine, though my heart aches for the loss of my mother. Come speak with me when I'm done here. I will welcome your counsel."
She looked back at Drumm.
"Talk then," she said. "Will you bend the knee?"

Alysanne woke up to find that her armor was lying on the tent floor and there were furs covering her. She woke Caelia and ordered a bath. Just to see if she was right, Alysanne briefly walked out her tent to see Ser Joseff standing there. "I should have known it was you," she smiled weakly. Joseff gave her a bow, "I know what sleeping with your armor feels like,".
After the bath Caelia brushed her long hair and helped her dress. Thinking it absurd to wear a dress in a military camp, she wore breeches, a silken shirt and some leather boots instead, went out, took drowsy Ser Gerald from his tent and headed towards her sisters pavilion.

"My Queen, offering these gifts makes me your bloodrider. There are gifts that somebody may give, as a Khal gives to his Kos, but the Three Gifts are for a single purpose."

Oswell Tully walks back into the camp, having just buried his brother Brandon. He wanders around for a time, seeing no familiar faces among the men gathered around the fires and tents.
After a time he stops at an abandoned fire to warm himself before going in search of food.

"What kind of gift would you prefer, then, when I deem you ready to receive such?"

"Gold, horses, horsemen... You hail from the east, My Queen. You know nothing about the warriors of the Sea?"

"Only a little. I have had to pay more mind to learning about the customs of Westeros. I leave Dothraki customs to you. Let us speak no more of rewards for the time being. I will think of something fitting in good time. Borcas, I hear the Dothraki are said to be a wild people. Will your men have trouble with the discipline of Westeros?"

Storming back from the bonfire, Talyn and William pass Rolf Groomsmen's tent. Dismissing William to carry out his duties, Talyn pokes his head under the flap.
"Rolf, you passed out yet?"

Rolf was lying there alone, and looked up at Thatcher. "Nope, my friend. Only pleasantly listening to a nonexistent buzzing noise."

Talyn paused slightly, but didn't hear anything, he sat down on a camp stool, "Just got finished having my head ripped off by Kyma Targaryen over by the Wildling's bonfire." He said, "Woman has a tongue like an asp."

Rolf laughed, "She has a dragon's tongue. No mere serpent." He studied Thatcher a moment, "You look a little shaken. What did she say?"
