And yet, it's still a stupid sounding name.

1) Character Name: Winister Oakheart
2) Character Age: 24
3) Character Nationality (Stormlands, The Reach, etc): Mander
4) Character Byname: Called Antiochus by his Lyseni contacts and close friends.
5) Character Skills (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 noteworthy skills and 1 expert skill):
Expert: Stewardship Noteworthy: Shortsword, Finances Apprentice: Riding, Political Intrigue Novice: Dagger, Stealth Beginner: Higher Mysteries, Command
6) Character's Second: Emelia of Lys, a Red Priestess:
Noteworthy: Higher Mysteries, Political Intrigue Apprentice: Dagger, Charisma/Seduction Novice: Stealth, Foresight Beginner: Seafaring, Finances
7) Character Personal History:
Winister's story is a complicated one. Rumour has it that his mother, rather than the honourable Lady Oakheart was the daughter of a minor Dornish noble. Seduced (Or violated), by Winister's father, Vercingeterix Oakheart. Though the servants have been forbidden to speak of it, and story violently supressed by Winister's mother and father, one cannot help but notice the olive skin, and straight dark hair of the young lordling who's family long boasted proud auburn curls, as befitting the chivalrous nobility of the Reach.
Perhaps to keep the 'problem' away, Lord Oakheart, at a young age, sent the boy from locale to locale. First the citadel, then fostering in the Westerlands, and finally Lys. It was there that Winister would spend the majority of his adolescence, a page in the court of the Lyseni prince. He went to Lyseni schools, learned combat in the Lyseni fashion, adopted Lyseni culture, and become a citizen of the city-state in all but fact. The closest thing to a Westerosi influence in his life was when his father sent a letter (One of three he was to recieve. The first one informing him of his departure to Lys, the last a spiteful tirade informing 'the bastard' to come home and assume his duties...as his father had never been able to father a 'trueborn') telling him that an Oakheart has always taken on the knightly vows, and telling him to go to the local sept in order to take them.
Winister did what he was told, entering as a page and leaving a 'knight'. Though annointed in the seven holy oils as all could Westerosi nobles were, the Seven never truly had a place in the young Oakheart's...uhh...heart. For one cannot be raised in the Free Cities and not become aquainted with R'hllor, the God of Fire and enemy to the Darkness. In secret, for his father had sent men to watch over him, the boy was inducted into the mystery cult. In order to keep his conversion secret any time the priests referred to him on the streets they would call him by an adopted name, Antiochus. It was with this name on his head, and this God in his heart that Winister returned home. His father dead, his mother retired to a sept.
8) Character Physical Description:
Short, though not unreasonably so. He has an olive complexion and long dark hair, a trait gained from his suppposed Dornish mother. He is long and lithe, lean rather than muscular.
9) Character Reputation:
He has gained a reputation in Lys for being quiet and slightly unnverving, but otherwise of little notice. He made quite a few friends there, who maintain a small mercantile company in his name.
In Westeros he is virtually unknown, for he returned in time only to recieve the title of Lord Protector and his first orders from the king.

Lord Oakheart did not just return from abroad. He was one of the few bannermen who defied Lord Craych Tyrell and fought for the King. When Craych tried to stop him he defeated him in battle, captured him, and delivered him to the Rodrick.

Seriously Roose, can you not do a basic search to see all the posts the character you're taking has been involved in and then try and create a profile that fits with existing information. It's a pretty standard thing to do.

Vercingeterix Oakhart? Really? That's almost as retarded as Metatron, let's be serious here.

Honestly, I think that has Metatron beat. Maybe not Megatron. But definitely Metatron.

At least that's a name that was used at one point in Westeros' history, Metatron and Vercingeterix are cool names that are utterly unrelated to and completely out of place in the context of westeros.

At least that's a name that was used at one point in Westeros' history, Metatron and Vercingeterix are cool names that are utterly unrelated to and completely out of place in the context of westeros. And especially out of place in Westerosi nobility. There could, after all, be a wildling or some such character named Vercengetorix, or a psycho renegade septon called Metatron...

I like the thought of a King-Beyond-the-Wall named Vercengetorix.

The King Beyond the Wall has the nice respectable name of Tarlan thank you very much. Or Gangriss Crowsbane, depending on who you ask.
