7) Born into the extravagant riches of Casterly Rock, Baldwin and his two brother lived a spartan existence. Their father Lord Trahel Lannister believed that to raise his sons correctly they must not be coddled in silk clothing and loving arms. Every comfort or convenience had to be earned. He also exposed them early to the realities of Lannister life. Politics, business and battle were the subject of every conversation the Lord had with his sons. As the second son Baldwin was sent off to Dorne to foster with the Martells. He was there when his elder brother took ill with a wasting disease and Baldwin returned home after seven years in the south. Now 22 his father started training him to be his successor, even though his brother still lived. For six years he traveled every where with his father drinking in all the knowledge he could. During this time he married Serena Martell, tightening a close bond with that family. Soon his wife became pregnant with his first child. Yet all this time his brother weakly clung to life. A week before Baldwin's son was born his brother died, cementing Baldwin as the next lord of Lannister. He named his son Allard after his elder brother. Baldwin's younger brother Randwin, who was very close to the original Allard, left Casterly Rock and never returned loudly blaming Baldwin for their brothers death. Under two years latter Baldwin become Lord Lannister when his father died. He rules from Casterly Rock with his wife and three children, Allard(now 15) Elena(13) and Benedicta (8)
8) Only slightly above average height, people still notice him immediately, Badlwin has a Presence about him. He has shaved his head for years, but he maintains a well groomed bread that still shines Lannister gold. Baldwin has dark commanding eyes and a stern nose. His right arm is weak from a jousting mishap in his youth.
9)Many believe he murder infirm older brother to achieve his rank, all talk about his incredibly intricate plots with schemes within schemes, there are rumors that his wife has always hated him, but these are whispered in deep, dark shadows because he is feared above all.

1) Character Name: Ser Zachary Lannister
2) Character Age: 23
3) Character Nationality: The Westerlands / Lannisport
4) Character Byname: The Golden Arrow, The Smiling Lion
5) Character Skills: Expert - Charm Expert - Bow Fighting / Archery Apprentice - Persuasion Apprentice - Horse-Riding Novice - Scouting Novice - Battle Beginner - Swordsmanship Beginner - Healing Beginner - Political Intrigue
6) Character's Second: Titus Hill, his squire, a boy of 10 years
7) Character Personal History: The second son of Lord Randwin Lannister. After Lord Baldwin rose to Warden of the West and Lord of Casterly Rock, Randwin departed Westeros, leaving behind two young children: Zachary and his older brother by two years, Steffen. Though many suspect Lord Randwin to be somewhere Across the Narrow Sea in the Free Cities, his sons have given up the search, feeling that their father wishes to remain “lost.” With their father gone, and only their mother to care for them, Lord Baldwin assumed the title of Shield of Lannisport though there has been recent talk of Steffen being raised to the cities new lord.
Due to the prosperous reign of King Rodrick Baratheon II, Zachary has led a very relaxed, carefree life in Lannisport, despite his abandonment by his father. He was fostered in Highgarden as a young child, where he developed a love for horseback-riding and hunting. When Squiring for Ser Arthur Marbrand at age 15, he traveled everywhere from the lush Riverlands in the east to the sandy shores of Dorne and Oldtown. During his short visits to Oldtown, he became interested in the Citadel, and almost made the choice of becoming a maester, but was talked out of it by his brother. Years latter, at age 18, Zachary was knighted by Ser Denys Swyft during the Battle of the Golden Tooth for saving the lives of his master, Arthur Marbrand, and Denys Swyft with two well aimed arrows which slew Corey Frey and mortally wounded Wallace Rivers, the mad bastard of Riverrun. The rescue earned him the name, “The Golden Arrow,” which he added as his own sigil alongside the Golden Lion of Lannister. Currently, he resides in Lannisport, assisting his brother with their estate.
8) Character Physical Description: Standing at about average height, with deep blue eyes and a broken nose, Zachary usually looks as well dressed as any Lannister might expect to be. However, Zachary has long, thick, sandy brown hair complete with a goatee, despite the rest of his family’s golden curls, which have become a common trend in the Lannister house. On the battlefield, he can usually be seen wearing a gold and crimson cloak with a sturdy Dornish longbow slung over his shoulder. And though he wears a sword on his belt, he hardly uses it in battle. He's not craven; he just doesn't want his enemies keen to the knowledge of how terrible he thinks himself to be with steel in his hand.
9) Character Reputation: Ser Zachary Lannister has a tremendous reputation of being skilled with both bow and horse. During tourneys, he does very well in jousting and he usually takes the prize in archery, though he usually avoids the melee as often as possible. Aside from his valor in the field, he’s known to be a very charming and companionate person. It’s no secret that the Lannisters have often had a reputation for being manipulative, greedy, and heartless, but the small folk have gone as far as calling Zachary the “Smiling Lion.” He’s a very free spirit who enjoys hunting, reading, and has a weakness for a good bard song.
He’s also been known to be very honorable. During the end of his fostering in Highgarden, his cousin Tyrek had visited, and subsequently fathered a bastard child with Eileen Tyrell during his stay. Even after everyone knew who had taken her maidenhood, and despite the pleas of Eileen, Tyrek would still not acknowledge the boy as his own. Zachary, who had become good friends with Lady Eileen, stepped up and took the boy as his own. This was pretty amusing to everyone, given the fact that Zachary was only 13 years old. Despite the fact that he was lying, the boy Titus was acknowledged by the Tyrells and given the name “Hill” before being taken back to the Westerlands with Zachary. Tyrek has since despised the both of them for making him look a fool.
Also, despite the sinister feelings his mother and his brother Steffen hold toward Lord Baldwin, Zachary holds only good feelings towards his uncle. His family still insists that Baldwin murdered their late Uncle Allard, and also claim that he drove their father Randwin out of Westeros through fear, but Zachary has continued to give his uncle the benefit of the doubt since he helped raise them over the years.

Knighted at eighteen after infiltrating the keep at Salt Shore with only a handful of Tyrell knights, resulting in the surrender and seizure of the city. Traveled as far east as the Broken Arm before the Dornish lords bent the knee. Resides in Winterfell after being raised to lordship at twenty-one.
8) Nickname is extremely accurate in that he was born an albino. Normal height but rather slender, he is somewhat lanky but well-muscled. Stark white hair that is shaggy and electric, soft pink lips and eyes. Cold and fearless.
9) Known to be one of the deadliest swords in the North. Lacking in the joust, he makes up for his skills with a lance in the melee; won the last four melees at Winterfell. If you think we have to many lannisters I would be willing to make a tyrell instead.
1) Character Name: Ser Tywin Lanister
2) Character Age: 19
3) Character Nationality: Westerlands
4) Character Byname: none
5) Character Skills: Expert: sword fighting Expert: Horseback riding Apprentice: Singing Apprentice: Warfare Novice: Hunting Novice: bow fighting Beginner: Ambush Beginner: Intrigue
6) Character's Second: Walder Marbrand (his squire, a cousin age twelve)
7) Character Personal History: The middle son of Ser Tytos Lannister, a cousin to Lord Baldwin Lannister, and Melessa Marbrand, Tywin grew up among his siblings (Symond the older at age twenty two and Edmund younger at age seventeen) and his sisters Jayne (age fifteen) and Eleyna (age twelve) in his fathers meager holdings. Tywin proved himself to be a competent swordsmen under the training of Ser Alister Brax.
One day while at the age of ten and six, bandits came on him Ser Alister and Symond while they where hunting. Ser Alister took a wound as the fight started but all three fought them off, though it was Tywin who shined in that battled killing three and chasing off the rest earning him his knighthood. Although he admits that the tale did grow much in the telling.
Tywin has entered in a number of tourneys most minor but he has a few great jousts and melees under his belt. At an early age he even picked up singing and took the time to learn and improve whenever he got the chance between combat training.
8) Character Physical Description: A lean man of average height with his blond hair like his father’s is cut short with deep brown eyes like his mother. His face his narrow and clean shaven. He favors a tunic of crimson with many golden lions.
9) Character Reputation: As a knight with a few deeds to his name, Tywin has claimed the status of a skilled warrior who is both gallant and brave. Fame among the Westerlands made him arrogant and almost reckless to prove that the songs are more then just songs, though he hides this with a since of humility that he does not truly mean. It is also said of him that he desires to trade his red cloak for a white one.

I think it would be better if you switch to become a Tyrell or Royce. Everyone elses characters are approved. (Please note read the house genealogies first though, regardless).

Post by Lord Rhodri Arryn on Jun 8, 2007 0:02:45 GMT -5
1) Character Name: Ser Rhodri Royce
2) Character Age: 17
3) Character Nationality: The Vale
4) Character Byname: The Redspear, Ruddy Rhodri (when he’s in his cups)
5) Character Skills: Expert – Spear fighting Expert – Horse-riding Apprentice – Scouting Apprentice – Jousting Novice – Charm Novice – Ambushing Beginner – Skirmishing Beginner – Bow fighting
6) Character's Second: Selwyn Stone, also 17, his acknowledged half-brother and squire
7) Character Personal History: Ser Rhodri is the second son of Lord Royce. Proud of his First Man heritage, he often looks to the Old Gods despite swearing his knightly vows to the Seven – particularly when out in the wild. Fond of horses, he rides at every opportunity and leads his father’s outriders as much as possible. During times of peace, he enjoys tourneys and other such contests of valour.
While he is generally funny and well-liked, he can also be proud and boastful, especially when drunk – he has a fondness for drink, and likes to sing and brag.
8) Character Physical Description: The Redspear is so named for both his preferred weapon and his own stature, tall and ginger haired, lean but strong. His fair skin turns red when he is in his cups, and thus he is called Ruddy Rhodri. His armor is made of bronze plates, and his crest features flowing braided horsehair dyed gold, red, and black.
9) Character Reputation: Ser Rhodri is well regarded for his horsemanship and camaraderie, particularly with the men sworn to his father. He spends much of his time riding against the Clans in the Mountains of the Moon, but has also been known to ally his men with one tribe to fight another. Thus he often rides with clansmen he has befriended, and knows their culture well. He has done well in tourneys in the Vale, but the isolation of his home means he is less well known around the Seven Kingdoms at large – though not unheard of.

BTW, regarding my character (Rhodri Royce, above): first, I know Lord Royce hasn't been claimed yet, but I am new to online roleplaying and thought it would be easier to start as someone not the head of a family.
Secondly, I made the assumption that the Lordly Royces are of the Runestone Branch (descended from Bronze Yohn Royce) instead of the Gates of the Moon Royce.

You could play as a son of Lord Tyrell if you wish. You can play as his heir (the position is open) but just pay attention to what has already been written about him if you chose him as your character and write his personal history (read the other Tyrell character's history if you wish to find out).

1) Character Name: Ser Gathor Tyrell
2) Character Age: 30
3) Character Nationality: The Reach
4) Character Byname: The Red Rose
5) Character Skills (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 expert skills): Expert: Intrigue Expert: Charm Apprentice: Warfare Apprentice: Hunting Novice: Archery Novice: Sword Fighting Beginner: Stealth Beginner: Horse Ridding
6) Character's Second: Dana Florent (his wife)
7) Character Personal History: Born and raised in Highgarden he was hurt in a horse riding accident at the age of nine that made it hard for him to walk and fight ever since allowing his brother to surpass him by leaps and bounds on the training field. When his younger brother, Rindwynd, was sent way for some time to Tyrosh, Gathor felt he was free of his younger brother’s shadow only to hear of his exploits in the free cities a few years later.
He took to drinking at an early age but the need to wash away sorrows he found himself drinking more and more, though he could have been found sober when the time was right. While sober his mind is clear and full of guile and wit something noted among his father’s lordly court.
After his marriage to Dana Florent and the birth of his children he was able to hold back much of his drinking for a time. He was soon learned to ignore the tales of his brothers deeds and things seemed to improve to him. Until his brother came back form the free cities and he feel back once again to bitterness towards his own brother, something that haunts him at almost every moment.
8) Character Physical Description: A vary thin man with his brown hair brushed back and tight behind his head. Dressed in fine clothing of green and gold. When sober his blue eyes are clear and focused.
9) Character Reputation: Druken misadventures have lead to his title as ‘the Red Rose of Highgarden’ much to his and his family’s dismay. Most think him as a drunken fool and a bit of a womanizer with more then one proclaimed bastard child to his name, but he can be a bit of a charmer on his better and sober days. Some may also point out that his title as ‘Ser’ is little more then a kindness for the years he was able to train.
